Plants seem to like them
I live in a very dry climate so I thought I would try these to keep the water from the drip system from evaporating too fast. My plants look great this year. We’ve had unusually high rain this year so I can’t say that it’s 100% because of these spikes - but they do seem helpful! I bit expensive for a piece of plastic, but plants are expensive so if they keep one from dying it’s worth it.

I have a container garden. I need some been beneficial, and watering my plants.

The water seems to trickle out pretty quickly when it’s in my soil.
In theory, this is a good idea, but I think in reality, it would work best with a drip system. I have these in my elevated raised beds and in my 25 gallon grow bags. When I put water in them directly from the hose, it seems like the water just quickly flows out from the area below the soil, when I was hoping the water would trickle out slowly. I do like the idea and we use according to its limitations in my garden.

Water delivered directly to plant roots
One of the concerns I've had with my drip irrigation system is that water on top of the ground evaporates before it soaks into the ground to the plant's roots. With these stakes I've been able to deliver water directly to the plant's roots. This year my garden plants are thriving and producing well even though the surface of the dirt is dry. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Heavy duty works well.
These have worked great over this last year to deep water plant root zones. Heavy duty and easy to install in our heavy soil.

Pretty handy for watering root base of plant
Purchased for our garden to water our vegetables more efficiently. They were easy to insert in the dirt adjacent to the plant and allows me to water the plant directly and more efficiently. This helps with weed growth since I am not watering the dirt surrounding the plant, only the plant. Saves on weeding and water! Highly recommended!

Deep Drip Watering
Product works as advertised. The cap stood up to the pounding that it took to insert them. Unfortunately, the cost is higher than I think it should be.
