It really depends on the children. If they are interested in playing with real tools, they should like it. Like wall sockets?** A: Always supervise children when using and keep in a safe place if your child is unpredictable in its use of tools. We bought this for our grandchildren to use and learn under supervision. if you are unable or unwilling to supervise your children when using this product then it is probably not a good idea to buy it. **Q: Are these allowed on planes?** A: I can understand the question, if it is to be used to occupy someones attention etc. The concern would be metal tools and sharps on a public plane. This on the face of it, isnt dangerous but i would guess it would not be wise to try, for the reasons above. It should however be okay to put in hold luggage only and declared prior to traveling. The short answer is...I dont know and wouldn't personally. My daughter loved it and I think it's something that will continue to be used as she grows. The quality is great and well designed. The screwdriver, Alan key and spanner and screws all fit neatly in the compartments. We love this toy. It does have small parts so until she's a little older we supervise her playing with it. I can see this lasting for years and her using it in different ways as she grows up.
