It can't. **Q: I just bought a $3000.00 gibson acoustic and i need something accurate to keep an eye on relative humidity. i s this accurate?** A: google the Salt Calibration for the hygrometer, basically you put some salt and water (purified) in a waterproof container and place that container inside a large ziploc bag. the salt/water will reach equilibrium in roughly half an hour. at which time the relative humidity in the bag will be 72%. something like that, **Q: Is it made in China?** A: I am unable to determine. It is not on the outside of the body and not in the battery compartment. If forced to put money on it, I'd have to go with China. But I don't know. **Q: What is the min/max buttons for? When do you use them?** A: The min and max buttons just record whatever temperature/humidity you have on the screen when you press them so you can refer to them later.
