## Questions & Answers

**Q: The box says "3-Speed Only" on it. What's that mean?**
A: The "3 speed only" tube means that it was made for a rim that is 590mm in diameter (this was the most common size on mass-produced 3-speed bikes long ago). This is still called a 26" x 1-3/8" tire, but it is different from most 26" x 1-3/8" rims, which have a 559mm rim. Installing the wrong tube can lead to pinching, increased wear and tear, and going flat. I recommend checking your tire and reading the numbers... if it says 590mm, then this is the right tube for you. If it says 559mm, then you need to get the non-3-speed version of the 26"x1-3/8" tube.

**Q: Does it for 26 x 1.95**
A: No. It will be too thin for the tire and won't be able to inflate properly. Problems will occur.

**Q: Does it include 26 x 1.5 ?**
A: this will work with 26x1.5.  1.5 refers to the tube diameter.

**Q: Will this fit a 10 speed?**
A: It will fit a 10 speed, as long as the tires are labeled 590 or 597. 

There a different wheel sizes that are all called "26". 
26" tells you the total size of your wheel on the outside, an old 26" road bike with its thin tires will have a larger inside wheel than a 26" mountain bike with its  large tires. These inner tubes are for the larger wheels (590mm) not the smaller mountain bike wheels (559mm) that are unfortunately also called 26"

Check the markings on your tire: This will fit ISO 590  If you can't find the iso-number (could also be 37-590), check for something like  26"x1 3/8"  Fractions are ISO 597 (this tube). Decimals are ISO 559, this tube won't fit.

Now, why would anyone label this "3 speed only" and not write something like. "ISO 590, not for ISO 559  (mountain bikes)" ??!
