Review: Love this sharpener! - I was not sure I needed another kitchen gadget, but I was intrigued by this little sharpener when I saw it being used in a cooking video. I really love it and use it everytime I grab a knife. I have a few classic sharpening steels and ceramic sharpeners, but I get lazy about grabbing them out of the knife block to use, clean and put away. With this little guy it's right out on the counter and hands free. It's small enough to tuck away in a draw if you want to clear the counter, yet unobtrusive if you want to leave it on the counter permanently. It does a great job refreshing the edge of a well sharpened knife, however you would need to have the knife in a reasonably sharpened state to begin with for this to work. I don't think it's intended to bring a dull knife back to life.

I was not sure I needed another kitchen gadget, but I was intrigued by this little sharpener when I saw it being used in a cooking video. I really love it and use it everytime I grab a knife. I have a few classic sharpening steels and ceramic sharpeners, but I get lazy about grabbing them out of the knife block to use, clean and put away. With this little guy it's right out on the counter and hands free. It's small enough to tuck away in a draw if you want to clear the counter, yet unobtrusive if you want to leave it on the counter permanently. It does a great job refreshing the edge of a well sharpened knife, however you would need to have the knife in a reasonably sharpened state to begin with for this to work. I don't think it's intended to bring a dull knife back to life.
