You can fix the device into the mount and then turn it around a couple of full circles to conceal about 2 circumference length of wiring. **Q: What is the outer dimension of the base? How wide? Trying to figure out if it will cover/hide my recessed outlet box.** A: Yes it will cover an outlet or light junction box. **Q: How to get them apart?
