It is good for using with heat devices, blow dryers, curling and flat irons. It adds a sheen to hair, while minimizing fly aways and fuzzy ends.

how is this different that original silk infusion, end result-wise?

Personally, I feel like it moisturizes longer & better.

Does this contain alcohol? i used and the next day my hair/edge looks so dry!!

No, but it is to use on your hair before you straighten it or curl it. It protects it from heat. So if you just put it on your hair and let it dry and do nothing else, then yes it will dry like mousse does in your hair.
