Jumping on adorable 2D goombas is very fun and addictive. Personally, I love my NES and Super Mario Bros. The plot itself is very simple, although more interesting than the nowadays Bowser kidnapped Peach for the umptillion time: Bowser wishes to take over the Mushroom Kingdom but the king's daughter, Princess Toadstool, has good magic to beat Bowser and save the Mushroom Kingdom. So, Bowser ties her up and kidnaps her, as mentioned above. He has also kidnapped the Mushroom Retainers -- the Toads, to be exact. By the way, I like the name Princess Toadstool more because a toadstool is a type of mushroom, and the toads are mushrooms, so it also makes more sense. After all, she's not the Princess of Peaches! The music is nice and classic, and catchy at that. All in all, this is a game I recommend. It is great Mario goodness right from the NES. I only have two more things to say: I recommend getting the original NES version, which is more classic. Also, you should get Super Mario World for the SNES.
