After a couple of shampoos her scalp was clean & free of all traces of cradle cap. No scraping or scrubbing too hard. I let both Shampoo & conditioner sit a bit to Penetrate troubled area. How I did it...I brushed my daughter's to get tangles out. I dampened her hair & scalp with warm water. I put a generous amount of conditioner in her hair & gently massaged scalp first & let sit a min or so while she played in tub. Then I rinsed all but a little out. Then I added a generous amount of shampoo with a squirt of the conditioner to her scalp & hair. This shampoo doesn't lather. They say that on the website. Because the lathering agent can actually harm hair & scalp. Bur it's ok. You just have to get used to that. That's why I add a little bit of conditioner each time so hair doesn't feel so dry. It helps soothe itching and dryness without any harsh scent, just a light, pleasant fragrance. The texture is creamy, almost like a conditioner, yet it lathers surprisingly well. I have fine, menopausal hair and was looking for something mild to support regrowth while calming irritation. It does help right after washing, and my hair doesn’t get greasy afterwards but the relief doesn’t seem to last beyond a day. Overall, it’s a nice, scalp-friendly option for sensitive or easily irritated skin, though I wish the soothing effects were longer lasting.
