There is also a single ground source for the 6 ground connections. **Q: What's the difference between the one with split, and the one without?** A: Split:It provides two isolated groups of circuits. For example if you have one group of circuits that you want to come on when the ignition switch is turned on. And a separate group of circuits that will stay on even if the ignition is off. Also, "the winch" you referenced may be an issue since the auxiliary fuse panel is only rated for 100 amps. If you wire directly to the battery I would ensure that you have an inline 100 amp fuse close to your battery. Easy to install, slots for the blade fuses are very snug so a great contact is made.
