But for safety precautions when placing on really steep roofs or hills you should reinforce the Pivit by putting a board or something behind it. **Q: What width walk board will this accommodate?** A: It depends which way you are using it. On a steep pitch (or steep stairs) it will accommodate a maximum 15" width board, but on a gentler pitch (or more ordinary stairs) it will take up to a 21" board.
