## Description

Introducing the newest addition to Le Cresset's Cool Tool family of products! The silicone Cool Tool handle sleeve offers a comfortable grip when handling hot cookware on the stovetop. It's designed to offer a secure fit on Le Cresset enameled cast iron cookware and fits all standard metal cookware handles. The flexible, heat resistant silicone is also dishwasher safe making clean-up a breeze.

Review: Best cast iron handle cover for Lodge, Staub, Griswold, and Le Creuset brands! - I use this handle sleeve with Le Creuset, Staub, Griswold, and Lodge cast iron skillets & griddles. The ridges inside the handle sleeve provide a firm grip on the cast iron no matter the brand and ensure that the handle stays cool. The sleeve itself is thick and sturdy--after an hour in the oven (by accident, NOT recommended) the color changed from blue to brownish blue, but it's still usable. That, to me, is impressive. I went back and forth about the price of this item ($20 at cookware stores, $16 on desertcart), but after my first purchase, I know they're worth far more than what I paid. Far, far better than the Lodge silicone cover which is super loose even on their own products and thin OR any of the fire hazard cloth handle covers.
Review: As advertised - Perfect - exactly as advertised. Cannot fault

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will this slip on a hot Le Creuset skillet in the oven (after the cooking is done), to make it easier to take it out of the oven?**
A: Yes it will, i have done this. Still gets hot pretty quick though, as oven temp is what it is. This product is just like a square silicon oven mit, those get hot as well. Anything you would use to grab out of the oven will eventually get hot. The one thing with this product that you do need to be careful about it is, if the handle of the pan, or even this product has any kind of grease/oil on it or in it, when the pan is hot in oven or on the cook top, it can make for a very slippery grab sometimes. Make the pan feel like it may slip or "squeeze" out of this product, if that make any sense.

**Q: What temperature can it go up to in an oven?**
A: That I am not sure but if you purchase on amazon it will tell you

**Q: are these needed for Le Creuset nonstick cookware (not the cast iron ones)?**
A: Sorry, I bought mine for the cast iron skillets... for which they work wonderfully,!

**Q: Is this an original product? I'm surprised, when I cook on my cast iron with it on a regular gas stove, I can't hold it - it gets too hot!**
A: It is, and yes it gets hot. I use my lodge holder. Watch out with gas; they all get hot
