I tried for some time to find tray which is usable in a microwave with a firm base, this is the best I found by far. I microwave bacon and sausages and find it to be ideal.

This bacon grill is fantastic! The item was packaged well, good instructions and works as described. Cooks the bacon evenly and cleans up easily - (I've only washed by hand). The grill and lid are made out of solid material and seem to be of good quality. I have a larger turntable so it's no problem to turn with this large grill, but if your microwave is too small to turn with this grill you can turn the turntable off in any microwave by lifting out the centre piece under the turntable glass and once done just place it back (an appliance sales person taught me that trick). I am very happy with this purchase and highly recommend the product.

UPDATING 2026: I went ahead and moved this up to a 5-star review simply due to the longevity of these trays. The previous bacon cooker that the company sent to me back in 2017 as a replacement, got dropped from a higher than usual angle and hit the tile floor and a huge chunk of the side fell off resulting in my needing to replace it once again. We had bought a couple of different ones from other companies in the last few years since the 2017 one I got had cracked a bit in a corner and had a small piece break on the side, but one of those melted underneath where the bacon was resting and I worried about plastic residue in our food so I trashed that one. Another one was way too small. You could only fit 3 pieces of bacon lengthwise and they still draped over the top, plus it was silicone so it was very "bendy" which makes it hard to carry afterwards when it has hot liquid bacon fat. I searched my previous orders so I could come back and get another one of these since it lasted almost 10 years in our clumsy household. NOTE: I forgot all about "decreasing" the temperature we use to cook with and the replacement stopped cracking, and functioned just fine for the remaining years. When I came in here to update the review I saw that, but since it lasted almost 10 years, it basically amounts to a $2/year purchase so I'm not too concerned. I am, however, going to buy another one to keep on hand for when this one eventually needs replacing 10 years from now! Excellent, sturdy, nice long bacon tray. I have a smaller than average countertop microwave and it fits and turns just fine. It cooks bacon perfectly. No hot spots, like I said long enough for entire pieces of bacon to fit the length of the tray. Sometimes there is a little overlap depending on how long a particular bacon slice stretches when peeling them apart but I just curl the ends back on themselves. I have seen some people twist them into a spiral. I might do that sometime just for fun. The deeper grooves makes steaming, defrosting, etc. work great on this tray. UPDATING THIS AS OF 2017: When calling to inquire about how these seem to crack for no reason, I just found out that apparently you are supposed to turn the power level down when using these bacon cookers. I have been cooking using 100% power this entire time, so the customer service rep told me to try using 80% power or even 50% when cooking the bacon and just cook it for longer because the higher heat can make them crack. Apparently this was printed on a sleeve that the cooker came in, but I didn't even remember seeing that. So they are sending me a new one. Even after a year of use and even after me admitting I was using the wrong heat setting. That is great customer service. She told me to use the new one at a lower setting and see if it would hold up longer than a year or so before cracking. Bought this to replace another one similar to this I had bought that cracked when we dropped it several times. I love this tray, but I still end up having to use paper towels under the bacon because otherwise there is so much grease it spills out into the microwave when I go to pick up the pan. However, with the pan, paper towels and the lid, no grease gets into the microwave that I can tell and the bacon cooks perfectly crispy the way I like it (you can adjust the # of seconds you cook it based on whether you prefer non-crispy partially cooked bacon versus well done extra crispy). This pan, however, also cracked slightly along one of the top edges even though it has not been dropped as far as I know (several of us in the house use it). Based on how well they function, and how inexpensive they are, however, I don't mind replacing them every few years and they work very well. I also use this for baking potatoes in the microwave, to place my corn on the cob when I steam it in there, and to place foods on for defrosting so that the air can circulate underneath.
