    Excellent everyday & travel companion

Currently living overseas, we have made use of this missal (along with the Vatican II Sunday missal) nearly everyday for the past two years.  Yes, it is large but not cumbersome as some reviewers have said.  We have taken it with us on all of our travels, making non-English Masses more meaningful. Just throw it in our backpack with our other things.  I think it is an excellent resource for anyone who wants to become more familiar with the Bible (the weekday readings cover much of the Bible over the two year cycle) vs. what they can hear only on Sundays.  Highly recommend!

True to its name, it is a Weekly Missal (Monday through Saturday); for Sundays' needs, Vatican II has a separate Missal, as does the St. Joseph Edition. This missal is slightly larger than the Roman Missal

     but much easier to follow and does not include the Latin for the Episals, Gospels, and the Parts of the Mass. In Vatican II Missal there is less need to skip around to follow the mass, the layout is as close to perfect as possible. The daily insight at the beginning of each day's mass, makes for a meditative experience. Highly recommended for those who wish to follow the mass on a day to day basis and great for Lectors.
