These tips liquify soldier instantly at 650f even into a 12g wire. This makes soldiering precise, secure, and reliable. I do not generally write reviews but I just had to shout from the rooftops. I actually purchased three different soldiering tools thinking there must be something wrong with the equipment, and yet they all performed the same with the cheep tips provided. Even with tinning the tips and taking special care to abrade them; some even disintegrated and became malformed at higher temps. These tips do not need tinning (at least not after the first job. They are solid and do not become malformed. They are simple to clean and require only the slightest brush on a copper abrader or a wet sponge and is suddenly as shiny as new!
