This is an absolutely fantastic book. The steps to progress are interesting and although sometimes not immediately fun, once I've explained the reason behind each tune, my son shows much more enthusiasm and has worked through the book without the need for a teacher. I would also say that this is suitable for adult beginners simply by the fact that they would appreciate the concept behind the basic songs.

I love this series and have used it as a piano teacher for 30 years. The theory book gives great reinforcement of concepts and helps students remember the new things they learn each week. Highly recommended!

The ear training exercises are a great addition and provide a well-rounded foundation for future piano studies; the layout is clean and the instructions are clear for both teacher and student. It's an essential workbook that complements the Lesson Book beautifully; I've seen great progress in my student's understanding of music theory since we started using it.
