Katie and the Mona Lisa

My 5 year son really enjoyed the book, it tells us about Italians artists so he is learning while reading another Katie aventure around the museum.

Katie collection by James Mayhew is worth to keep in your shelf for your kids. It’s Katie’s adventure to the museum, meeting a lot of painting characters and also their painter. I found the price of this book is cheaper from Amazon than the other websites.

My kids LOVE this book and asked for others after we read it. Great way to introduce some well known art to kids.

The best of the series. My daughter loves them all.

The Katie series by James Mayhew is a wonderful introduction to the art world for children. My grandson aged 8, came home from school one day and asked to go to the National Gallery! When I asked him why, he explained he wanted to see Whistlejacket by Stubbs and some other paintings by Turner, Constable and Gainsborough, that he had read about. This enthusiasm was thrilling to see, only equaled by our day out in London to the National Gallery to find the paintings he had read about. I have since bought the whole series for him and Katie and Mona Lisa was another brilliant read.

Really great work. There are four world famous paintings in this book and the spirits of the paintings are introduced in such a simple and interesting way. Really wonderful children book. I want to buy all from the same series.
