It takes a few days to work. **Q: Will this kill other ants and or bugs???** A: Yes **Q: Can this be used in vegetable gardens?** A: read the label. my guess is no but if you cannot find anything on the label, contact the manufacturer. **Q: When do you apply the first treatment each year?** A: I wait until I see the 1st exploring ants. The material is expensive! It is also toxic so I look for ant entry ways into house(kitchen) I put granules into small flat dish. They love it and take it back to give.
