It was smaller than what i have expected to be but it does expand to hold more items. Zippers seem fine and all the compartments are pretty useful to hold misc items. I gave it four stars because the straps tend to come off and seems that the strap holders will break in time. Being said it is a pretty good bag. On some occasions the shoulder straps came off but was easily put back into place. I got this bag for hunting purposes and holds what i need on my hunting trips and by far the best hunting bag that i got to date. I do wish the shoulder straps and the waist strap would stay in place. Seems to be very good quality with lots of pockets and loops to add on to it. I was a little disappointed at first as it looks ALOT smaller than I thought. As I looked it over very good I found it will meet my needs just fine, but it is waaaay smaller than it looks in the pics. This is a day pack, maybe a weekender but not a long hauler so if your going out for an extended hike this is not the pack for you.
