If you can use a power drill you can put a hole in it as well. Ran 2 bits through, second one was 3/8 and it was easy. Have bought a few of these now and they are great. For those confused about mounting them, drill a hole, go to your local big box store and buy a stainless steel 3/8 bolt with a 3 inch working length, a couple of washers and a nylock nut...it's not that hard. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I was able to easily drill a 3/8 hole through it *by D***E on July 5, 2014* Well made and worked perfectly. There was no hole in the auger to thru bolt; however, I was able to easily drill a 3/8 hole through it. I used schedule 40 2" galvanized pipe and was able to auger a dock post 4 feet into a sandy bottom.
