This is a really nice,modern looking,easy to use,automatic,waste bin !!!A very nice upgrade to my kitchen bin,which was definitely needed in my case.It has made a massive difference from the swing lid bin I had,and it's so much more hygienic aswell,being as you literally do not have to touch it,unless you change the bag or clean it.....Amazing !!!It looks great,it wipes down and cleans well,the bag is hidden inside wrapped over a retainer ring....It works fantastic !!!....And,it's the perfect size and colour I needed,what more can you ask for ???It's also really well made,the top is lightweight but all together,quite heavy duty and top quality,in my honest opinion !!!.....It's worth every penny I paid for it,as far as I'm concerned !!!You will have to buy 4-AA batteries for the lid,so the more you use it,the more batteries you will need over time....Obviously !!!....But,for prolonged use,you can turn it off by a switch under the battery box and just keep the lid up until your finished,then just turn it back on again,simple !!!I ended up buying a charger with 8 rechargeable batteries and I just swap them over when I need to and recharge them....I always got batteries whenever I need them,sorted !!!Overall....If you're looking for a sleek,modern,quality,automatic bin,then there's no need to look any further !!!I'm really happy with mine.Thanks !!!

It's a kitchen bin. Judging it too harshly feels unreasonable. But since people do read bin reviews, here's an honest one.This bin looks good, fits a standard kitchen bin bag, and the liner retention ring actually works well, which sounds trivial until you've wrestled a slipped bag out of a cheaper bin. It makes it look tidy too and keeps the bin bag tucked away. The coating is useful in a busy kitchen and better than a shiny finish that would end up covered in fingerprints.Battery life has been better than expected; we've had it running on the same set of AAs for a solid stretch and they're still going.The sensor is responsive, which is mostly a positive. The downside is that it will occasionally open itself if you walk past at the wrong angle. Not constantly, but enough to be mildly amusing the first few times and mildly less amusing after that. It's not a dealbreaker, just worth knowing, and it depends completely on where you put your bin.For a busy household that goes through bin bags at pace, the 50L capacity earns its keep. Solidly built, looks decent, does what it's supposed to.

Purchased on special offer so price was really good. Purchased the white but would say that is not as bright white a the image more of a creamy white. Easy to install batteries and a bit fiddly to insert the bin liner but will get used to it, opening and closing of the bin works like a treat, so good to have hands free use of a bin. Great size especially for a family, seems sturdy enough. Lets hope the battery life is good so don’t have to keep changing batteries time will tell. Looks great in my kitchen would recommend

Lasted 1 year and 9 months then the lid started making strange noises and can't close automatically any more. We kept bin clean at all the times, still looks like a brend new but doesn't work anymore.

When I read the mixed reviews about this bin, I was a bit unsure but I desperately needed an alternative than hanging a bin bag on my kitchen door. The dog was always getting stuff from it. I don't have much room for a bin in my kitchen so I needed something slimline but large enough for a family of 4 household with a cat and a dog.I have had this bin for a month now and I love it. I really like the fact that it is an automatic close system, so you don't have to touch the bin at all. It is really easy to operate and clean. It fits in a small space and I've turned it so it doesn't sense people walking past it. The sensor seems to be working well and I'm still using the original batteries (these are not included).The only awkward thing is trying to keep the lid open longer. It is possible if you make sure you stand in front of the sensor when emptying stuff into the bin. This will keep it open until you walk away.I would buy this bin again and it was a good price when I purchased it from Amazon.I just need to figure out a way of stopping my dog purposely using his nose to use the sensor to open it! Hahaha!

I really wanted to like this bin because, on paper, it ticks all the right boxes. The colour is exactly what I wanted and the material it is made from is good. I specifically chose a sensor bin because I do not like touching bin lids, particularly when handling raw meat or other messy food waste, and I have never been a fan of pedal bins. In the past I have just used bins without the lids but this means they need to be emptied daily, especially in hot weather, to ensure the kitchen does not end up smelling of refuse.The bin itself has plenty of capacity, standard supermarket bin liners fit well, and the shape means the bag does not get trapped when it is time to remove it. From a practical point of view, the design is very good.Unfortunately, the electronic lid has proved to be the weak point. I bought this in September 2025, and by April I had already needed to replace the batteries with a premium brand that was better than those supplied. By May, the sensor had become unreliable. Sometimes the lid does not open at all, sometimes it only opens halfway, and other times it opens only to close again almost immediately, leaving barely enough time to put anything in the bin. It has now become more frustrating than convenient.To make matters worse, I had recommended this bin to my daughter and persuaded her to buy one before mine developed these faults, which I now regret.Looking back, I should have paid closer attention to the reviews. An 11% one-star rating should have made me think twice, but I was reassured by the Tower name.It is a shame because the bin itself is well designed and practical. However, for a sensor bin, this was unreliable, with mine failing after only around eight months of normal household use. That is simply not good enough for the price, so I cannot recommend it.
