Review: Expensive, but perfect. - This device is super expensive but if you need a compact, fast, relatable storage device for editing video on the go then you cannot get better. Note that if you plan to store thousands of files that are less than 2-3mb, you will want to reformat the drive. For me I have thousands of files that are 60mb+ so it’s set up for me right out of the box. As it’s xFAT formatted, make sure you always eject this device using your computer and NEVER just pull this drive out or you may need to use recovery software.

As mentioned in other reviews, it is a dust magnet and gets warm during use, however none of these are deal breakers. preferred this over WD SSD as the SanDisk is IP55 and can withstand rain and some water splashes. I don't want to loose my data if I am caught in rain, considering that now I am living in Europe region where it can rain a lot. For people in middle east this may not be a consideration. Also the SAN disk one seems to be a bit more resistant to falls/drops. The cable that comes with it is USB C to USB C male to male. Also included is a USB C to normal USB adaptor. Would have been great if there was a USB C to normal USB male to male adaptor (not cable), preferably L shaped, and then I could actually use it like a USB stick

This device is super expensive but if you need a compact, fast, relatable storage device for editing video on the go then you cannot get better. Note that if you plan to store thousands of files that are less than 2-3mb, you will want to reformat the drive. For me I have thousands of files that are 60mb+ so it’s set up for me right out of the box. As it’s xFAT formatted, make sure you always eject this device using your computer and NEVER just pull this drive out or you may need to use recovery software.
