Review: Works well, I would buy again. - Nice heat-sink. I used some generic 'white' heat sink paste on the Raspberry Pi 4 B and this heat sink lowered the CPU temperature by 10 degrees C. So it works well. It is well made and has a nice finish. I have the PI mounted to the backside of the display, and I was able to drill out the threads of the heat-sink and use the supplied 12mm screws to attach the heat-sink to the existing display standoffs. This is really nice as many of the heat-sinks need much longer screws to mount this way. But here the supplied screws worked. See the picture below that shows the supplied screws being used to secure the RP-4 B to an existing Display Mount. Bottom line: I would buy this again.
Review: Got it to fit in a RasPad 3 - Works great. I wanted a slim heat sink option to fit inside my RasPad 3 enclosure. I got it to fit by taking off the included fan on the heat sink and replacing it with the fan from my RasPad enclosure. The RasPad fan is large so you wont get all 4 screws in. I just tightened one screw in making the fan face the heat sink and it held fine. The Pi gets much better cooling compared to previous setup. One tricky part with the RasPad is getting the small accelerometer shim back on the GPIO pins for the auto rotate screen feature. I just soldered the shim to some 2x3 female pin headers to make it hold solid. If you use header pins the case fan won’t fit in its normal spot. If you move it into the heat sink like I did you won’t have a problem. If you get the shim on without header pins you can bend the GPIO pins to help retain it in place, but it was hard. I wanted a more solid connection.
