It is easy to put on and very hard to make run or at least nothing like regular spray paint. I did get some great tips from watching the YouTube videos so I got it right the first time. Most importantly, you need to hold it a little closer than regular spray paint. If you wait 10 minutes to apply a second coat, rigorously shake the can again before spraying because it will separate in the can quickly. Just shake and you avoid the problem. I forgot to shake once and immediately regretted it. Anyway this is crazy shiny now. I can see why someone would use it on cars. Really great stuff. I don’t know how long the can will last. I got my project done over two days. One video said it could last from a couple of days to a couple of weeks but I don’t know what factors affect that. Once mixed, this isn’t going to last months or years on the shelf. Treat it like you would epoxy. Mix it and use it. What I mean by mix is smash the plunger on the bottom of the can to break the seal inside the can. Sounds hard but it is very easy. If you have never used a 2K, just watch a couple of videos.

**Q: So, i’m an artist and i resin my paintings. is this technically a resin/epoxy in a spray can? could i possibly use this on my paintings?**
A: Yes it works well. I also do paintings (abstract) and used 2 part resin. The spray Max is just as good and durable. The draw back is, is once you puncture the internal can inside the main can, you only have about 48 hours to use. So you have to make sure you have a few paintings ready to go and coat them all at the same time. Also, purchase a respirator. Harbor freight has them for Les than $20. You get quite a few uses from them, then just throw away and purchase a new one. The vapors in the 2 part spray Max are not good to be inhaling. Outside is fine, but in a enclosed area is not good unless you wear a respirator.

**Q: Has anyone used this to cover Duplicolor lacquer spray paint? If so, how long did you wait to apply to the Duplicolor base coat?**
A: Yes.  Go on YouTube and look up a video from Paint Society where he is using the 2K finish, and he will have the best examples for you to see.  I know for a fact that it works very well when it is done right, and the best way is when you spray your last coat of duplicolor, you have to spray a very light coat of the 2K finish into it before it dries completely.  This gives you something for the 2K finish to properly bond to, and it will not peal like if you sprayed it directly over dry lacquer.

**Q: How long after applying this can I colorsand and polish?**
A: Same as any other clear. Obviously depends on air temp/humidity etc. Also, the longer it dries, the harder it is, so hard to cut

**Q: Can I use this to seal any enamel paint on a car or should I be using a specific paint under it?**
A: Hi, i have bought a manufacturer number spray paint, ordered online for 2 coats on the car hood and then spray max 2k 2 coats, but my friend he bought from autozone spray paint and then use spray max, i think it can be use but the surface of paint should be very clean before use it, i did it last summer and it still good (but car paint has specfic quality too)

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The closest thing to OEM clear coat you’ll get in a spray can

I had no business pulling this off. Zero experience, no bodywork knowledge, just a car that needed fixing and way too much time spent researching. And somehow, this clear coat made my work look factory fresh. The Gloss & Depth, Absolutely Unreal I thought the paint I used looked good, but this took it to another level. The depth, the shine, no orange peel, no weird haze. It’s straight-up OEM-level clarity, and I haven’t even wet sanded or polished it yet. That alone should tell you how high quality this stuff is. Durability, It’s a Two-Part for a Reason Since it’s 2K (meaning it has a separate hardener inside), the durability is on another level compared to 1K clear coats. This isn’t your average off-the-shelf spray, it chemically cures into a professional-grade finish. If you want longevity, this is it. Application, Professional Stuff, But You Can Do It I won’t lie, this isn’t beginner-proof. It’s pro-grade, and you need to apply it properly. But if I can do it with zero experience, so can you. Just make sure you prep everything right and find the right products to pair with it. (I reviewed everything I used, so check my profile if you’re fixing a similar issue.) Spray Pattern, Not Your Average Can This isn’t some junky rattle can with a weak, spotty mist. The spray pattern is perfectly even, almost like a spray gun. But test it first! Spraying on cardboard or paper helps you get a feel for it. Work in light coats, keep it moving, and don’t let it drip. Dry Time, Faster Than 1K, But Not Instant It dries faster than a standard 1K clear coat, but it still gives you enough time to work with it. Be patient, and don’t rush coats. Price & Value, Expensive, But It’s THE Industry Standard Yeah, it’s pricey. And worse, you can’t buy it in stores. But there’s a reason pros use it, it’s the best you can get in a can. Whether that’s worth it for you depends on your project, but I wish they made smaller cans for smaller jobs because once you activate it, you’re on a 48-hour timer before it dies. Application Tips (Read This Before Spraying!) • Get a spray can trigger handle, it gives you way more control. (It just clamps on top and turns it into a mini spray gun.) • Test the spray first, don’t just go straight to your car. • Work in light, even coats, slow and steady wins the race. • Use it all within 48 hours, once activated, it’s done. Final Thoughts If you’re on the fence, just go for it. It’s not cheap, and it’s not dummy-proof, but the results? Insane. The fact that I got a glossy, smooth, no-orange-peel factory look on my first attempt tells you everything you need to know. If you take your time and do it right, this stuff will give you a finish that looks straight out of a professional paint booth. Would I buy it again? Absolutely. Hopefully, I won’t have to.
