For anyone interested in literature and art generally, this is a must read. It is Freud at some of his most clear, and accessible. It is a long book that demands attention and close reading but the reward is incredible. He really shows that dreams are not some sort of metaphysical transcendental realm, but they are our very mind replaying our life to ourselves, and Freud wants to see if there is a meaning to the symbols, which I think he shows.
