A: White should be common.  Is your red from one of your zones?  The white should land on the common terminal for the zone control module and the individual zones on the stations you want them on.

**Q: Will this accept 16 gauge solid wire?**
A: Yes

**Q: Will this work on a ESP-TM2**
A: No. TM2 controllers cannot be expanded.
