My old set had plastic backing that cracked when washed and dried, and then they were no longer leak proof because accidents leaked through the cracks. These Panda Pads are awesome because they have the soft material on both sides, with the waterproof piece sandwiched in the middle. I wash and dry them with no issues and they have held up really well! They are super soft, small enough to easily stash in my diaper bag, and do a great job of keeping my changing pad cover clean and free from accidents!
