Review: Laserpecker Pro Laser Engraver - WOW!!! Super wow!!! I absolutely love this!! - I've now owned my Laserpecker Pro - laser engraver since January! So, I've had plenty of time to use it on multiple occasions and really get the hang of all the settings and use it on various different materials, including different types of wood, leather, fake leather and even plastic! I find it to be such an excellent tool, with an extremely easy-to-use 'User App', you will get the hang of the basic settings very fast, which is always a great thing with any product. I love the way you can choose different fonts, and also that I can easily download other fonts from various online resources and then save them to my phone. E.g., the Peignot font from one of the Barbarella movie posters! Engraving depth / strength is straightforward to get the hang of. Many of the settings can just be kept for multiple materials, and if you have a test piece available, then you can try things out / test and adjust where necessary to perfect the very best results for your chosen material or item that you wish to engrave. I like the way that you can combine pictures with text. And I love how easy it is to adjust the size and position of the engraving area by using the illuminated 'grid' which is projected onto the material before you press the final 'go' button. The tripod is a great, simple, but effective tool. Again, most of the time you can leave this at the set height, and even if it is a little high or a little low than the specified ideal gap, it will still engrave with superb results! For some items, such as the coaster shown in my attached photos, I simply raised the height of the tripod using 3 tins of beans, rather than messing around adjusting the legs, which were already at an ideal fixture point for the majority of items that I had been engraving. Safety is also a major part of this engraver, and anyone who may be concerned that their kids might be able to easily operate can be safe in the knowledge that various different passwords of your choosing and pins are required at different stages of the operation process on each and every engraving. This is very good and well thought out, and would certainly prevent any person who isn't meant to have access to the engraver and the laser light it emits from being able to use this incredible device. Customer service is excellent, with fast responses and polite replies to any queries you may have during the initial stages of using this machine or even months afterwards, they are always happy to help. This really does demonstrate what a high-quality and professional engraver / series of engravers that are available to purchase within the umbrella of 'LaserPecker'! I wouldn't hesitate recommending this wonderful piece of equipment to anyone interested in getting into laser engraving or who thinks it would be nice to create their own gifts for family and friends, or for business use.
Review: Fabulous first Laser Engraver - Never having used a laser engraver before I did quite a bit of research before making the investment to purchase the LaserPecker L1 Pro: Pros: Very easy to use. Once the app is set up on your phone, it's pretty much intuitive. Uploading bespoke images to the app is a breeze and being able to customise items for my clients (and me!) has a huge impact. It's compact and has a very small footprint using the autofocus stand. Using the tripod is a bit fiddly, but it does enable the useable engraving area to be available for different positions massively. You can even position it to engrave vertical surfaces (I did the drawers on a wooden cabinet). You can use this with a normal power bank and the power drain equates to charging about 6 iPhones before the power bank is depleted - about 4 hours of continual use. (I usually just attach it to a USB-C plugged into my laptop/PC.) Cons: It's low power so can only engrave certain materials: soft materials are best, including wood, bamboo, leather and card. Light/white surfaces don't engrave - it reflects the beam too much. It won't engrave anodised aluminium - not enough power (so if you're after engraved metal business cards, this isn't for you.) It will engrave all sorts of plastic (e.g. PU 'leather' notebooks) but beware of the fumes - you need a well ventilated room! You need a finished bespoke image to upload; the LaserPecker Design Space software doesn't work with the L1. Overall, as a first laser engraver, whilst it is more expensive than some other equivalent makes, the flexibility of using a tripod together with the auto-focus stand gives you far more options to engrave items. In a few words: buy it if you want to start custom engraving on basic materials.

**Q: Hi all has anyone had major issues with trying to engrave on clear acrylic materials? I know you’re meant to use a black marker pen to mark it out…**
A: I’ve seen videos where the clear surface is coloured with a dry wipe marker before it’s engraved, then wiped clean once finished.

**Q: How much does this smoke,i want to use it in my shop and my water jets are 3m high?**
A: hi there, not much smoke, you can use a fan to blow away

**Q: Can it engrave on corian / solid surface material?**
A: Although I have never tried to engrave on anything like corian or quartz, I’m 99.99998% sure it CAN’T do it, you’ll probably need a CO2 laser for that job. This laser struggles to engrave on white paper, it’s far too reflective. Anything like quartz would be a massive NO. This is a low power, compact hobby laser for etching on materials such as wood, non-white paper, leather etc., and maybe some materials like plastic when using paper masking tape to prevent the laser being reflected away.

**Q: Amazon have suggested i contact you, i bought this less than a year ago, and the stand is now loose and making a prilonged grinding noise on start up**
A: Contact customer service, it's still covered by its warranty. It sounds like the kogs are grinding on possibly particulate or eachother. Either way it should sound like that, it should sound like a winey moter struggling up a hill. Hope this helps.

I've now owned my Laserpecker Pro - laser engraver since January! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love it

I’ve been working with the LaserPecker L1 Pro for a few days now, I was dubious about some of the reviews but decided it was worth the risk. I’m not disappointed! People complain it’s a bit slow, not very powerful, if you’re looking for a fast powerful laser then this isn’t for you. If you want a versatile, very portable laser then I recommend it. Setup really does only take a few minutes. The app is free and reasonably basic but works. No, it won’t cut anything more than paper but it isn’t sold as a laser cutter, it’s an engraver. I have found the precision excellent for what we us it for . It burns images onto wood, plastics, card with ease. More complex designs can take a little more time but once you set it going you can leave going. The Bluetooth connectivity means less cable. The preview function lets you line up the image where you want it, close the protective guards and pres go! I run it from my iPhone and iPad. If you want a technical laser with huge versatility then no, this isn’t what you want. If you want an easy to use, quick to set up, very portable unit then look no further. You can run this with a (reasonably powerful) USB power pack, which means (for us) it can be taken to events, shows, outside in the garden etc. It is a good looking, well built unit. Bad points; You can only use the Laserpecjer App, but the app does work for what we want it to do, I’ve got used to its funny ways of doing things and it works for me. I have found that it’s easier to use Apples ‘Pages’ word processor to compose an image, export it as an image then load that into the LaserPecker App and burn it. It can be slower than other units and it’s not a hugely powerful laser but they don’t sell it as such so people really shouldn’t complain about that. This is my first laser engraver, I’m happy with it. The video is a Timelapse, it took a while to burn the image of my cat.
