Webster's Spanish-English Dictionary for Students

This is a pretty good dictionary, as a student it has helped me out quite a bit when I've needed it. It is a lot more comprehensive than the few copies of what my school has which I found too be too basic and lacking a lot of words. This book has pretty much everything you'd need to know and as a High School student I feel that it gets the job done. I think the $4 price point is great for this book as well. Overall, it's a good sized dictionary and it contains a lot of definitions. In all honesty, if you're searching for a basic beginning Spanish-English Dictionary, look no further. This is best book out there for the price no doubt.

Great resource to have. This is a newer version of what I'd already had. Book includes conjugation of the verbs and different tenses. Gives a variety of definitions, as well. Book arrived in great condifion. I recommend this book.

I agree that this is a very handy and useful book. I have the 9th printing from 8/2013 (called the 2013 edition on the copyright page) but it still doesn't use the new orthography rules of the Real Academia Española from 2010. Most importantly, this edition uses accents in one syllable words, contrary to the new rules. For example, guíón (screenplay, hyphen), rió (he laughed) etc. The accents that are used to make distinctions in meaning from the unaccented form, like in sí, qué, dé, etc, are still in use.

I bought this dictionary for our son, who is taking Spanish I. The front section is Spanish-to-English, and the back section is English-to-Spanish. There are lists in the front of common verbs and conjugations in both languages. He's already used it to help with homework, and it's just what he needed when he isn't near the computer to use Google Translator. This is a really good price for a basic dictionary!

This dictionary was for my nephew who is taking a spanish class, he really loves it, says it is a big help in his class. I found that price wise it was great, could not locate this in any of the big box stores for a convenience to pick up and take home, ordering from amazon helped with gas, and frustration of not finding it while out and about.

I bought this for my daughter who is in a 2nd grade dual-language class. We were disappointed to learn that many of her 2nd-grade-level Spanish vocabulary words are not in this dictionary. It would also be nice if conjugated verbs and other word variations were included, but they are not. It's a nice price and small enough for my 2nd-grader to carry in her backpack, but we are going to have to buy a larger Spanish-English dictionary for home use.

This book helped me to master my fluency in English after being raised speaking only Spanish. This dictionary is organized clearly and is extreme easy to find the word you are looking for. A great supplement to any professional reading library.

I love it.. It's amazing! It has just about every word you could think of in here. It's big and filled with tons of great resources..I bought two books previously from another brand and they both were crap. To the point, where I don't even use them. And instead wasted money. But this was great! Def would recommend.

Muy básico, yo esperaba otra cosa. Escaso vocabulario. No es la primera vez que un diccionario M. Webster me decepciona.

Considering the borderline-trade-paperback footprint, this dictionary is too light on the coverage. Check out used bookstores, Goodwill, etc. I found two better paperback dictionaries at a fraction of the price.
