Now, that being said... IF you plan on only using this system at home, I would probably only give it 3 stars. The light from the kit that they send you is definitely different from the light you would get in a tanning bed. I used it at home, and while it was okay, it wasn't anything I was going to brag about.. and it was a mess. I drooled everywhere! However, I was excited to take it to the salon and see how it worked in a bed. I was blown away! I use a bed with a 12 minute max time, and it took me a little while to get lotion and the gel on, so I was in the bed for about 9 minutes total. My teeth were SO much whiter, I could definitely tell it worked. I haven't gone back to using this gel at home, I will only use it in the tanning bed. It is much less messy at the salon as well.
