It isn't very sweet tasting to me by itself, but pairs well with erythritol. They seem to augment each other's sweetness. Yes it does have a brown sugary taste, but that is exactly why I purchased this. Now I can bake with erythritol, yet still get that wonderful brown sugar taste! Awesome when you use real butter. I don't need this to be a sweetener all by itself. When I needed it for was to impart the brown sugar taste that's missing in erythritol or splenda for most other sweeteners. I haven't found any other sweetener that will add the brown sugar flavor. And many baked goods just don't taste right without it.

I decided to try this brand as an experiment because it is cheaper than the one usually buy. My usual brand of monk fruit is pure organic 100% monk fruit. While this brand does not indicate that it is organic. It also is NOT 100% monk fruit but also has maltodextrin which is not something I want. Unfortunately I did not read the label more closely. The flavor is slightly burnt. Also I literally, and I mean literally, had to use seven times more of it in my morning coffee than I do of the brand I usually. So that increase of amount alone wipes out the savings in the cost. Bottom line - this brand is not worth it in terms of taste, quantity of use required and overall quality.

My favorite Monk Fruit Extract. It's not bleached and there are no additives. Took me awhile to find it but so happy I kept trying.

This product tastes nothing like other pure monk fruit powders I have purchased in the past from other sellers. It's bitter, it has a very strong after taste and it's not sweet at all. I have had a great experience purchasing products from Bulk Supplements and I was very excited when they were offering monk fruit extract but this is a product I won't recommend or buy again from them. I purchased 2-1kg bags and I'm not allowed to return the one that's not open. Wasted money as this product will go right into the trash as it tastes horrible. Even the color is not right, it's s dark more like cocoa or cinnamon. Look elsewhere.

I like that it is what it says. I believe that many of us don't realize what it is exactly. I didn't. So don't expect an easy use sweetener. It is a highly sweet powder, in a hard to use container. I used it once, and haven't since. Not because it's bad or anything, I just understand why some companies use other ingredients to make it more user friendly. Unless you have a specific use for it, I wouldn't recommend. If you do, it's for you.

Yes that is right, I use this exclusively to sweeten anything. It is powder so you have to alter baking and it does not have a sugar taste but it is pleasant and sweet so does the trick. If you want to detox your body from all the poison sugar and fake sweeteners you use, try this! And FYI, it has aided in a significant weight loss!

I am very disappointed with the product. It is Monk Fruit mixed with Maltodextrin. Maltodextrin has a very high glycemic index (often 90–136), causing rapid blood sugar spikes, and may disrupt gut health by reducing good bacteria and damaging the intestinal lining. The monk fruit extract that this company sells is not consistent in its quality or flavor. The first time I purchased it, it was a medium brown in color and looked like dark tea when mixed in water. The second time it was a pale cream color and looked like a light tea color when mixed in water. Both had a flavor profile that was pleasantly sweet and had the added benefit of not causing GI distress. This last time I made a purchase, the extract is a dark brown and has an unpleasant taste as though the manufacturer scorched the batch, a bit like burnt coffee or roasted chiccory that got too dark. I would hope that they could bring themselves to make their product more consistent in flavor and color. It is not a comfortable feeling to have to take a gamble when purchasing this product in the future. I am not sure that I feel that brave.
