Great Dash/cabin/rearview cams with 12" mirror monitor
I first tested thePormido two camera 12"mirror dash/rearview camera system but when I saw the new upgraded model with 3 cameras I knew it was perfect for my Sprinter Adventure RV build. So I returned the 2 camera unit thru Amazon Prime and upgraded to the more expensive system so I had a mid / cabin camera to monitor driver, passenger, the interior of the RV and even see out the back and side windows. The front and cabin cameras are totally adjustable with tilting lenses and the rear view comes with plenty of cable even for my 19' sprinter van. The extreme wide angle field of view for all three cameras is amazing, @ 170 degrees and you can swipe up and down on the mirror/monitor to scan that much vertically as well. The resolution is great and images crisp and sharp with good contrast. There is a brightness control on the mirror monitor. I 'll try to upload some better road images with there are more cars in the photos but the wine country road I was on for my test ride was without much traffic. I installed the rear view camera on my spare tire rack at the farthest point of the van's rear end. Used out door rated velcro and a zip tie instead of the provided 3m tape only because I wanted to be able to reposition and play with the camera angle. But Pormido includes several strips of tape, screws and an adjustable camera holder attachment that can be used inside the back window of a car or SUV if you don't want to install outside. I squeezed into a very tight parallel parking space on my first try using the camera and the parking assistant lines ! So much better than the OEM Sprinter overhead backup camera, but with both cameras operating at the same time giving me two views it was soooooo much more accurate! The parking assistant kicks in when you shift into reverse ( if you attach the red cable to your backup light ) and then when you shift back into the forward gear the front view camera kicks in. I set that camera high on the interior windshield glass pointing slightly down so I can scroll and see over the front of my hood better than my own eye view from the driver's seat because the camera is forward mounted right on the windshield glass. So cool for the MB Sprinter that has a sloped nose and I have an added front bumper and guard! Also the rear camera is so wide I can see cars entering and In the blindspot before I can see them well in my mirrors or they are detected by the blindspot sensors on the Sprinter. It's so cool watching them approach in the mirror monitor and then pass in my side view. So much safer and earlier than the OEM blindspot sensor alert that flashes red on the MB OEM side view mirrors. Pormido supplies everything needed for the installation, plenty of wire length which is great, (but also presents a challenge to coil, zip tie, and hide the excess cable). But better long than coming up short !!!! They also provide stick-on cable clamps and a little plastic body tool to help push the wires into the headliner and door corner moldings. I'm very pleased overall with the system. The tiny micro disc is a little difficult to pop out with my large finger since the slot is so well hidden on the top of the mirror monitor. I got a 128GB micro card so I now have two including the included 32GB card. I guess my only requests for the next model upgrade would be for streaming video to a mobile phone or pad so the card doesn't need to be removed, wireless cameras to eliminate the wire installation process, and perhaps voice control, though my experience with Siri / Alexa in the van with road noise has not been good with other devices. But those are all bells and whistles that add complexity of operation and expense too. The quality of the Pormido product, and the images is great and Pormido service has bee excellent. The GPS antennae was out of stock when I ordered my kit, but they shipped everything else so there wasn't a delay and I expect the antenna which just plugs in and sticks on the inside of the windshield to arrive any day now!. Very very pleased! Update: The gps antennae works perfectly! I'm, adding some new photos and videos that represent better the quality of the cameras.

So far I'm REALLY impressed with this unit
First, I should state that I have worked in Public Safety for nearly two decades - selling Law Enforcement dash cam systems. These are the high-end police units. So I wasn't expecting 'much' when I bought this for my 2020 F250 Super Duty. I have so far been VERY pleasantly surprised! The video quality is superb and the installation was straightforward and logical. All three cameras (forward-facing, interior, and rear-facing) are of good quality, and the provided 3M automotive double-sided mounting tape is the premium quality stuff. Here are some installation tips/notes: BEFORE YOU APPLY POWER TO THE MIRROR - ensure ALL cameras are plugged in. If the are not, the display will not present correctly causing you to think there is a problem with the unit. The instructions clealy state this as well. Make sure all cameras are plugged into the mirror first. This will eliminate false-fails. Front Camera - make sure the mirror display is on BEFORE sticking the camera to the windshield. This way you can ensure the camera is centered in terms of its field of view. Also, the mirror/display in touch-sensitive and you CAN ADJUST the camera picture up and down by swiping up or down. This is a great "fine-tuning" for framing the picture. Again, read the instructions first - most of this is covered in detail. Rear Camera - the rear camera cable is equipped with a red trigger wire. This wire - if connected to your reverse light (white light that illuminates when you put the vehicle in reverse) - will cause the rear camera to override your mirror settings and show you the rear camera only - when in reverse. If your vehicle already has a reverse camera you can choose to NOT connect the red wire and the rear camera will function normally at all times without overriding. Recording - all three cameras recording simultaneously at all times while power is applied to the mirror. You have the option of recording the audio also. Recommend audio be left "on" so that in the event of an incident you can narrate details to the recording. It also will capture anything someone says if they are in close proximity to your vehicle. For example - someone rear-ends you.. they come up to your window and say "oh my gosh, I'm so sorry, I took my off off the road for just a second..." Well they just admitted fault and you now have it recorded. The downside - when you string together those expletives upon impact - those are recorded as well so be mindfull. Micro SD Card - I run a 128GB Sandisc Level 10 card. It works flawlessly, In fact, I have (2) of them and swap them once per month. This gives me the flexibility to reformat the card(s) at my convenience. It is advisable to reformat the cards after a month or so. Recommend using the Standard formatting option - NOT the "Qucik Format". this will greatly extend to life of your SD cards and ensure the recordings are error free. I use the "3 minute" clip length option (in settings) and those clips are very manageable. Optional power adapter - In my opinion, the optional power adapter should have been included with the kit but that's not a show-stopper. Highly recommend the optional power adapter though - especially for permanent mounting of this system. This is the ASIN for that part B08GQXF32D (copy that number and paste into the Amazon search bar and it will pull it up) I've had the system up and running for a couple of months now and it has performed perfectly. For the price point this really is the best system out there in my opinion. DISCLAIMER - this review is my honest, UNSOLICITED impression of this system. I do not review on request nor have I or will I recieve anything of value from anyone for posting this review.

Great tech addition
Initial thoughts are 👍🏽 — disregard all the wires, the video taken during check fit before full install. Great for any vehicle, particularly those without factory cameras — IMO where this really shines is for older cars, vans, RV’s and those vehicles without rear view / windows or factory rear cameras. The rear camera is paired with the addition of detached front facing and interior cameras to help see passengers, blind spots as well as out the back when driving. We use this in our camper van - I’m looking forward to setting up the adjustable parking guides - a great help to customize the lines for this large old vehicle. For me the detached front camera was a very attractive component — I can see (and record) with the front camera even when the window covers are up, which is always when parked. Most other mirror dash cams I’ve seen have the front facing camera attached to the mirror. If you put up a window shade your camera is blocked — negating the benefit of the parking sensor for a front impact. The cameras are an upgrade from the last model I had - night vision is improved. The interior camera is nice if you have a need or want it. For me I’m not sure about it for our application - but no way to turn it off that I can see. Probably a great addition for watching kids and pets, or for ride share drivers. Cameras record on a loop - press a button and a file can be locked so it won’t be recorded over. Files are also locked if cameras are triggered buy a crash / or recording is triggered by parking collision sensor. Pros: • Easy to install - mounts over existing rear view mirror • Front camera detached and not blocked by window shade covers • rear camera mounts inside or outside vehicle • 3 cameras including new interior • Improved cameras • Adjustable parking lines • Mirror / display screen is crisp and clear - • 2 optional anti-glare screen protectors include if needed • GPS included • can be hardwired - kit released soon Cons: • Mounts on previous model easier to fit over mirror - • 3 cameras - if you don’t need interior not sure you can leave it off • interior camera cord not very long, limits mounting options other than to front windscreen • previous model front facing camera has a slIghtly wider FOV(?) • lots of extra wires to hide - x5 (1 for each camera, power and GPS • hardwire kit not out yet - I will update review after using if anything changes. Seems there is an extra cord for the GPS that doesn’t seem to be necessary. Mfg/seller is very responsive so I will check on that.

An absolutely must have. Quality that does not disappoint.
Stop the presses! The true dashcam mirror has arrived, and plans to stay!! So, I have been trying for years to find a camera that provides the quality and characteristics I wanted: Stable recordings. No vibrations while watching it ubiquitously or later at home. Easy to use interface. Robust and not battery drainer. Video monitor of quality on diverse situations: Rain: color differentiation Night: deal with night vision while also dealing with other cars headlights to prevent blinding. Sunset and sunrise. Deal with the sunlight while still delivering quality that allows to differentiate effectively the other cars in the road. Wide view from the back, facilitating the shift of lanes. Super easy to install, being the method of choice the cigar adapter or the hardwire kit. People don’t be afraid of the hardwire kit! It is dummy proof and adds so much to the functionality. For instance, my car (Jetta 2019) does not have a ACC setting. So, I would not be able to use the parking monitoring without the hardwire kit. The things to consider in the future are: If you install the rear camera inside the cabin, you might experience some glare back from the cars own rear windshield. I would attempt placing it outside if possible. This model does not provides Lane departure warning or blind spot monitoring. It would be a nice addition in a future firmware (wink wink).\ The recordings are stored in a SD card. It would be nice if the mirror somehow would let you know in real time when an event occurred while parked. Finally, the company support is amazing. I thought they wouldn’t really care about customer 500k, but they do!. They have followed up better than I do some of my personal emails myself. Truly surprised with the great customer support. As of today I continue to enjoy the system. I even sent one to my parents back in Chile and they love it. Hope you enjoy.

Good, quality product!
Great camera system. Does exactly what I bought it for. Initially bought my first unit a few years ago and it functioned really well for about 8 months or so and then started acting up. Contacted customer service and they have been really excellent at prompt response and taking care of the customer. Through constant communication, we were able to resolve the issue by them sending me a brand new unit, which has been working 99.99% fine. Very rarely it may refuse to turn on when I turn the car on but if that happens, turning the car off and on again resolves the issue. Bear in mind that I currently have the 12 volt cigarette lighter adapter in versus hardwiring the camera system as I previously did. Either way works but hardwiring the system improperly WILL run out your battery eventually. Especially if you don't use your vehicle daily for the battery to be able to be recharged. The pros of that is the parking monitoring feature but just make sure that you hardwire it correctly. Otherwise, the cigarette lighter adapter works perfectly well but of course you don't get parking monitoring option with that since the unit requires power for that. If that is not a concern for you, then simple plug and play in cigarette lighter will work fine. It turns on and off with the car. I purchased a 12V cigarette lighter adapter extension with multiple 12V and USB ports built in and that has been working great for all my needs. Recommend considering one of those. Oh by the way, we like this unit and system so much that this is my second purchase of the system. Both my car and my wife's car have the system. We really can't imagine driving without the large "mirror" or screen. And it works really well during the day AND night. No issues whatsoever! The only complaint or rather wish I have is that it worked directly with your phone or tablet via an app. It does not. It does have an SD card that you can pull out and use with an SD card adapter for your phone and computer but it's just as handy. Not a deal breaker by any means (obviously bought two, have been recommending this one to people I know for years, and will probably be buying another unit for my daughter's car soon) but it would have been a nice-to-have feature. Overall, we really like and have been enjoying our units inside the vehicles. Will strongly recommend this unit even if it doesn't have the interactive capability for a mobile device. But that could be a simple matter of preference. Doesn't take anything away from the unit, the whole system, and especially their outstanding customer service. A big shout out to Winnie from Pormido customer service team for Winnie's excellent customer service! Great job, Pormido. Thanks and I hope this can help someone make a decision if they were considering purchasing this item.

Poor experience 🤝 Poor product
Poor experience from top to bottom. In order for a "1-year warranty" you fill out a sketchy form and someone gets back to you within 24 hours. Sure, sell my email to some data broker. I was asked if I installed the mirror and if I had any questions. I did not fully install the mirror because I wanted to hard wire it to my vehicle. The 'warranty' card stated that if you filled it out you would get 1 of 4 items free. I inquired about getting it and because 'it would be a waste' to send it to me because I expressed I would return it if the horrible glare wasn't addressed. Poor service, poor outlook on your own product since they did not have any confidence that they would keep me as a customer. Anyway lets get to the product. If you have tints: skip this digital mirror. The glare from the sun on the back windshield makes it a dangerous addition. The workaround I received was to "attach the camera to the outside of the vehicle" I am not drilling holes into my brand new vehicle for a $260 white labeled Chinese made camera. My already installed two channel thinkware dashcam does not have any issues with glare on the rear windshield with my tints. Leads me to believe that the camera is junk and they know it. I am positive headlights would wash out the image if I attached the camera to the outside of the vehicle. If you have a econo-doo doo box and don't mind taking a drill to your vehicle then by all means go to town. The USB-C to 3 female ports for the camera wire is horrendous design and will be difficult to fit for most vehicles. Camera Quality on the cabin cam and front cam was mid at best. Camera settings: Very minimal without many options. I would have loved to see a 2 channel mode instead of the choice of 1 channel or all 3 channels at once. Overall, skip this. This is a white labeled digital mirror that other companies slap their name onto. Look elsewhere for your digital mirror needs. UPDATE: After putting in my return request and not interacting with the seller since our last communication I received an email in the same thread acknowledging my return request with a request of their own to not send the product to Amazon. Either this was a cheap attempt to bait me into tainting my review or a way for them to side step the Amazon returned % metric. Whichever you choose to believe it’s scummy and should put any positive review of this product into question due to the seller propping it up with financial incentives for buyers. Again I reiterate, this is a white labeled product. You can find better sellers of this at better prices on this platform. Avoid them at all costs

Well worth it.
I have both the triple cam and double cam system from Pormido (2 double and 2 triple). I've tried several cams before, but for the price and quality, I have never went to any other system since. I personally prefer the 3 cam system as it also comes with the gps, but it depends on the application/placement as some vehicles have very limited space as far as best location for inside camera, like my Subaru with eyesight system. Regardless, the camera on both system are great quality, especially night vision. The inside camera with gps have saved me 2 tickets in court. Highway patrol accused me of speeding during a night drive, and also threw in a not wearing seatbelt as well since I had my seatbelt removed by the time he came to my door. The officer showed up in court, but did not expect my camera footage as evidence even though I told him it was recording when I was pulled over. Even though it was at night, the camera clearly showed me wearing seatbelt the whole time and only removed it just before the officer got to my window. The speed in the gps coincided with the speed I told the officer I knew I was going, contradicting his accusation. Front camera captured a vehicle also looked like me vehicle passing in the fast lane several minutes before the officer lighted me up. My case was dismissed. I also have witnessed a hit and run accident at night, and both front and rear camera was able to clearly capture the license plate of the vehicle involved even at speed, which was provided to the police. For the price, I recommend the 3 camera system with gps. Installation is a breeze. If you plan on using a hardwire kit, I strongly advise the Pormido kit as well since the angle of the plug is designed specifically for the system. I admit I have another brand for my first install, and I just had to run the power wire up the passenger side and run back driver's side to go to fuse box. Speaking of fuse box, make sure to find out if you have fuse box inside the cabin and what type first. Some fuse boxes do not have spare slots, and you might need to purchase a separate piggyback tap. If I'm not mistaken, the pormido hardwire kit comes with mini fuse. There are taps to piggyback direct mini, or convert mini to other size and tap. Regardless, install is also relatively easy if you understand a little bit about constant on, and on with ignition, and doesn't mind running the wires from front to back. The wiring kit I got is 11+ft. It should be long enough even for SUV running the rear cam all the way to the rear hatch. I have never used the extension, but I've read some people have use them. I don't use the 24hour parking mode, but just the time lapse instead since the unit will automatically start and save recording once it detects hard impact. Another feature that have saved me lots of money from insurance claim being hit in an unattended parking lot. Call it lucky or unlucky for my experiences. The camera have save me from a lot of heartaches and money. For what its worth, it has paid for itself.

Super nice UPGRADE for safer driving experience! UPDATE REVIEW after 3 years of use!!
I drive a full-size SUV and the rearview mirror doesn't help much since most of the view is blocked by the car seats, booster seats, and everything else inside the cabin, so I needed a solution. And the solution I found? The PORMIDO Triple Mirror Dash Cam 12" with Detached Front and in-Car Camera, Waterproof Backup Rear View Dashcam... I am so happy to have found this product. I feel much safer driving knowing exactly what's behind, in front of my car and inside the cabin... And also knowing that everything is being recorded for evidence in case I ever need it. All three cameras are well made and feel solid. The backup camera is protected in a solid metal housing and it's a great setup all around with clear resolution! I also love that you can choose and mount all three cameras where ever you want them to be positioned, which is a nice feature since every car and truck are different. This allows me to position exactly where I want the camera to be set, so I can fully control what I see on the mirror dash monitor. The touch screen mirror monitor is also well made. It feels very solid and once mounted, the unit stays in place without any shake or movement. The unit is super easy to use/ user-friendly and the touch response of the screen is quick and feels top-notch. I posted some photos of my setup. Please ignore the glare as it was caused by the direct sun, my camera's angle. Changing view is simple with a quick touch of the mirror monitor. The usage/ the setup has more than what I wanted and exceeds my expectations~ Update April 2024: I've been using the PORMIDO Triple Mirror Dash Cam since 2021, and it has never let me down. I use it daily for my commute to work, picking up my kids from school, leisure drives, and long-distance road trips. My family and I feel much safer with the three cameras, as they record all crucial views in case of accidents and for parking security. The unit's functions perform flawlessly without any issues, and PORMIDO regularly releases firmware updates every year or two. They are highly responsive with helpful and friendly customer service. It's a fantastic Mirror Dash Cam, a well-made product that has made my life easier and safer. It has lasted me over three years and continues to perform strongly, promising many more years of reliable service.
