**Q: How would you use these leaves for baking as a sugar replacement?**
A: I have not tried to bake with these. For baking, sugar provides more than just sweetness. It effects the texture, moisture and browning.

**Q: Just wondering why snail shells might be found in a package?**

I purchased a much larger bag here in Amazon and it was brown with a bunch of stems and grind. This is a healthy looking full green leaf with great flavor.

After reading some of the reviews about brown looking leaves and stems, etc. I was a little worried. But as you can see, my first batch looks great! Very green, virtually no stems. I haven’t used it so I can’t vouch for the flavor yet, but if one is used to the flavor of dried Stevia leaves, I expect this to be perfectly fine. We are off to a good start!

I am very pleased with this product. Just a pinch of the leaves left to steep in a hit beverage is enough to sweeten it without the aftertaste left by some powdered forms of stevia. These leaves are economical too as the flavor is very concentrated.
