Review: 10 Hours In, Super Happy with Changes - As of writing this review, I'm only 10 hours into the first Mass Effect game, but the changes I've seen so far I've really enjoyed. I'm only talking about changes to that game, as I haven't gotten to the rest of the trilogy yet, but from what I have heard a lot of other reviewers/streamers say, many of the major updates were in the first game anyways, as it is oldest. A few of the new additions / quality of life changes include: - Skipping some elevator sequences is allowed - Updated facial graphics / environment textures; pretty much every character I've met and every world I've visited so far looks fantastic. The lighting is greatly improved in a lot of previously dim areas. Everything looks much fresher and crisper, even though I'm not playing on optimum graphics settings. It's not just the main party that's been updated; NPCs, side characters, and even the thresher maws have been updated. - The Mako's driving is... somewhat better; it's still not great or up-to-par with vehicles in other games, but it's not quite so bouncy as in the original game. Shooting is also much improved. - The HUD centered at the bottom of the screen is much more in alignment with games 2 and 3 and makes it easier to see the health of your party than it was originally (with bars situated off to the bottom left corner). - Some great changes to combat - using medi-gel doesn't have as long of a cooldown period, it's easier to move in and out of cover, any one can play with any type of weapon (though without proficiency bonuses a character who specializes in that weapon class would have). You can also direct your crew independently of each other. Overall, it's still a bit clunky and feels "old" compared to modern shooting games, but they've done a lot here to make it better. So far, everything is running very smoothly and I'm having a great time replaying the trilogy. With this edition, you get all three games plus all DLC content - a great deal. Mass Effect has one of the tightest, cleanest storylines of any series I've ever played, but still has tons of replay value, as you can make different choices throughout the series that will change your ultimate outcome. I'm really pleased Bioware was able to get this out. It's been great so far, and I can't wait to get into games 2 and 3 to see what other changes have been made.
Review: Classic remastered - First let me start off with explaining that this is NOT a new game. I have seen a bunch of reviews complaining that this isn't a continuation of Andromeda, that this is old, etc. This is a remastered version of the original trilogy. Now onto my review. I preordered this game as soon as I heard it was coming out. I have been playing the Mass Effect series since its first release many, many years ago. I still regularly play them now. My kids play them. So of course I had to get this version. And for me, it is money well spent. The graphics have been upgraded, but not completely redone. Handling on the weapons is better, making targeting smoother (I prefer sniper rifles, so this is a huge plus for me). The Mako controls have been adjusted and the vehicle climbs better than before (so much better). I haven't completely replayed all three games yet (I'm good, but I'm not that good lol) and will update if there are any other things of importance as I play. Now the "bad" parts. I have ran into two "bugs" so far. One is a standard bug which is present in the original version of the game. If you skip the voice over parts of the conversation too much, parts of your sound cuts out (when the Mako lands on planets, when you are walking through the Normandy, etc). But it is easily fixed by exiting the game completely and restarting it. No big deal. The second "bug" is if you leave the game in standby mode on the XBOX One (do not exit the game completely and shut your xbox down) when you turn your xbox on again and start the game exactly where you left off, it lags. Just shutdown the game completely and restart it. Overall, this version is worth it to me. I like having them all in one place, I like the changes that have been made.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mass Effect Trilogy is like "Star Trek" meets "Lord of the Rings"
*by A***C on May 30, 2021*

The Mass Effect Trilogy is one of my favorites in gaming history, if not my favorite trilogy. It's also my favorite sci-fi universe with some of the best alien designs. As much as I loved the OG games, they were dated and looked bad, the first game was also very stiff, gunplay was weak, and overall it did not age well ...which was why when people played now a days they always were disappointed and didn't trust my recommendation. Now Mass Effect 1 is fix and plays better then it ever did. This is the definitive version to play Mass Effect 1 as mostly everything was improved, minus some audio bugs here and there. Mass Effect 2 was much sharper now and it looking pretty great actually. When I first jump on I instantly saw a difference in quality, depsite a lot of glitches being fixed there are some some bugs here and there. But it's Mass Effect 2, it's still a great game. Okay, Mass Effect 3 is a great game, this version does look better and run better. They also fixed some bugs, but it's still the same Mass Effect 3. This game will feature some standout highlights in the trilogy and some of the best characterization and writing. The ending is no where near as exciting as you would initially think after seeing this huge thing, and compared to Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 2 it's definitely the weakest ending. But still worth it. The package comes with all three games so I'd say it pays for itself and I would recommend. As a bonus Mass Effect 3's Femshep is available in 1 and 2 - she is really cute - but character creator is also good, just saying. I'd recommend for those who haven't played as Femshep, to try her out because there's so much unique experiences and romances with Femshep not to mention the voice acting is top notch.
