Review: Excellent! - It's everything I wanted, the pedals look so good because they are made of medal, the quality of the wheel and stick is very good. I had this wheel for a few months now and no matter how much I had played it still feels like, the durability is super solid. Plus I really like the smell, it literally makes the room smell like a new car, when I bought my EVO I would love to get inside the car and smell the smell of a new car, this wheel smells just like that which proves is really made out of material from a real car. The size of the steering is perfect for Formula 1 games, and so is the force feedback. I use the clutch as the brake and it feels like I'm really driving a F1 car. For F1 2012, all you have to do is put the steering wheel saturation at 65% and the accuracy is incredible to see. Changing shifts with paddle shifters is also great since they are made of medal like the pedals and it gives to it a better feel than if they were plastic. The wheel looks good with the medal in the middle and the lights for changing gears look great when playing the F1 games. For games like Gran Turismo I would recommend to mod it with a Sparco wheel or any other real size wheel, since this wheel is too small for regular cars on simulators, they sell online good hub adpaters for those wheels that work great with this wheel. They also sell longer paddle shifters for those. For any other arcade game like Grid 2, MotorStorm Apocalypse, or Sega Rally Online, this wheel size is more than enough and makes the arcade gaming experience so much better and so much more fun, to the point that you don't want to stop playing. I would definitely recomment a good wheel stand, I found a really good one here on desertcart for $80, similar to the V2 and works excellent with this wheel, without a proper stand like that it would be hard for you to appreciate how good this wheel is, and you will be surprised how the couch is not bad at all when you use a stand like that. In the case you want to get a racing chair, then find a way to make it move, I've seem videos online of guys that had mod their chairs to move as if you were driving a rally car. If you are not going to do that to the racing chair, then you better off saving your money by just buying the stand because there is no much difference there. If you are wondering about 3D gaming, you can't go wrong with that, I would say having a big 3D TV is better than hooking up 3 monitors together that are not 3D, the 3D effect these days is wonderful, specially when it comes to driving games. If you don't have a big 3D TV, then yes the 3 monitors approach would be better, but even a 2D HD big TV is more than enough to really have fun with this. Cons: The USB cable that connects the wheel to the PS3 is a little short and you may need to buy an extension for it, unless you want to keep it right in front of the screen, which is not bad if you consider that for a car game, being close is better. Logitech does not gives you the chance to have a F1 add on wheel like Thrustmaster does, and in order to put one of those you would really need to know what you are doing which is not feasible to expect from most people. It is too bad Logitech said won't be doing more console accessories, it seens this would be the last one from them, they are really good making then. Also it is very possible this won't work in the upcoming PlaySation 4, but that is something I can't confirm and from what I heard it depends largely on the game makers more than the PS4 system itself. So if you are planning to buy this to play DriveClub on the PS4, I would hold on to see if it is compatible before making the purchase, other than that Gran Turismo 6 is coming up for the PS3 so in that case I would highly recommend to get this wheel for it.
Review: this is really the only wheel to get unless you want to spend twice as much - UPDATED 06/01/13 This has been a great wheel! Keep in mind I only play Gran Turismo on a PS3. I have tried the Thrustmaster F430, DFGT, and Fanatec GT3 V2. The DFGT has horrible shift buttons with no feel (click) to them. Their small size limits you to keeping your hands in one location as well. The DFGT increased my lap times more than the F430 did compared to a DS3. Pro's - overall quality and durability is very nice - all but one button can be remapped in Gran Turismo 5 - pedals are very nice, i recommend mounting the pedals to a base or against a wall - buttons on the wheel are tricky to use when the wheel is turned more than 90 degrees e-braking is very tricky, so i still use a controller for drifting - paddle shifters are nice, have a click to let you know you shifted, although a little flimsy and a bit too close to the wheel, you'll pinch your finger if you shift with one finger and have others underneath the lever - the wheel is angled upwards a bit too much, which I negated by putting a small 3-ring binder (or wooden wedge) with the small side facing the driver to decrease the angle - action is smooth, but can be loud when full force feedback kicks in - feedback is always strong even at the lowest setting, and can shake my entire corner desk - there's no playstation button! so you still need to use your controller here and there - it works very well with the PC just be sure to fully calibrate it in the control panel first, or you'll only get 300 degrees of rotation by default, and you have to go into the control panel and adjust that. I found the PC calibration tool and game calibration tools more complicated than they need to be. I don't trust FANATEC's ($400 cost) support history, and their being out of Germany and the best Thrustmaster rig is just too expensive. UPDATE I just received a Fanatec GT3 V2 pedal and chair set yesterday 05/31/2013. The seems on the wheel were not comfortable, the cooling fan makes a whining noise, the basic pedals (even firmed up) are not as nice as the G37's by far. All of the onboard custom settings didn't seem to make that much of a difference overall. Specifically, turn-in was always better on the G27. I raced 5 laps in a FR 550PP car with Sports Hard tires and my track times were far better with the G27. THRUSTMASTER: I've been a longtime user of Thrustmaster products. I was always happier with Logitec's flight sim products. They weren't always nicer per say, but overall they worked better. I did try the Thrustmaster Ferrari F430 wheel. I was able to match my controller times and it was nicer than the Logitec DFGT. The shifter buttons were way too loud and the gears were very notchy with fine turning adjustments. The pedals were nice. The buttons could not be remapped in GT5. They were laid out pretty well, but you have to get the layout from Thrustmaster support which was very responsive I must say. The T500 seems like the way to go if money is no option, but you're going to want the F1 wheel add on and that puts you around $800 and up range. I'll be looking to add an e-brake and race chair to this and get a backup G27 for parts in case this one breaks.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is it possible to remove the leather cover from this wheel?**
A: Hello, to answer your question, most guys just put a different wheel on the G27 body instead of trying to modify the existing setup. Here is a video of just one idea from Utube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHGmBHoygJA There are other ideas out there too. If you insist of taking the leather off the wheel (from my experience - And I have had a G25 for years and bought me a G27 when one of my wheel buttons began to malfunction. I have modified the shifter so I can have sequential shifting but that is all I care to do to the wheel. If you decide to take off the wheel leather, I wish you luck as it looks like it is really on there. :) -Val

**Q: Will this wheel work with windows 7 ultimate 64 bit os?**
A: Yes it works with windows 7,8, 10 both 32bit and 64 bit versions, and PS3. Don't have PS4 so don't know if that's compatible...

**Q: has anybody tried this in ps4/? does it work**
A: I bought a little white usb adapter from Brook, that looks like a thumb drive. It plugs into the end of the wheel cord and it plugs into the controller port of the ps4. It makes the g27 read as a g29. Shifter works too. They run from 40$-80$. It has never once shown any signs of lag or connection issue. The g27 can be used on anything with the right adapters. You can even buy adapters that let you use thrusmaster pedals or fanatec pedals on a g27 wheel. Its usually a company in europe though and some cards lately, and some banks wont let you purchase oversees anymore. A prepaid card for online is your best option. Amazon doesnt carry these wheel adapters we need. Brook is the company that makes this ps3 usb adapter I bought. Just makes the G27 read like a G29 is all. Other adapters can do more things. Can tell you ive been using a G27 on ps3 and ps4. All the Gran Turismos from gt5 - gt 7. All the rally and F1 games on Ps4 and pretty much any game that supports logitech. Though im sure since 2014, youve learned that by now, for everyone else, YES , with the right usb adapter , you can use a g27 on anything. Including Ps4 and Ps5.

**Q: Is the gas pedal realistic? I mean, in real cars, there is a big difference if you floor the gas pedal or only press a little bit.**
A: Yes the gas pedal is realistic. I use mainly for racing but i can go around a track at 2 miles an hour or 102 or anywhere in between. for the money i recomend this wheel setup to anyone. i am sure the more expensive wheels have a better feature or two but not much better. also recomend iracing and asseto corsa for the most realistic racing experience available in my opinion, if into racing games.
