Works Perfectly, But You Need The Right Cable and Connectors. Trust me, I know.
The Compression Crimper is easy to use and works perfectly. With stiff cable it helps to hold the connector in place with your finger. The reason some people cannot get a good crimp is that There Are Different Sizes (diameters) of RG6 cable. I was in the industry from 1987-1992 selling CATV parts. RG6 is sold with a single shield, double, tri-shield and quad-shield. Most of the compression connectors are large enough for triple, some are made for Quad-shield. Those connectors will slip right off of narrower cable. As I recall, I sold crimp on connectors in .342, .357, .372 and .388 barrel diameters. So, you need to buy Quad shield cable and Quad connectors, or smaller connectors with smaller cable. I purchased Klein Tools VDV812-606 connectors for RG6/6Q and Cables Direct Online 100ft White Quad Shield RG6 Coax Cable. The Klein Tools stripper prepared the cable perfectly, and the tool made perfect connections. Incidentally, I had never used compression connectors before. The instructions were perfectly clear and I had no trouble figuring out how to use the tool.

Sliced Bread!
Methinks Amazon or Amazon's customers have mixed in reviews of different Klein RG-6 Compression Crimpers and perhaps the anvil design has changed after the May 7, 2009 date first available and Nov 2020. This review is for the one I received on Aug 27, 2021. I have an old trustworthy circa 2005 Sargent 3195CT Ratcheting Snap-N-Seal Installation Tool that cost a little more than three times what this one does... It certainly is much heavier duty, but unfortunately it only works for connectors that have a groove just above the hex rotatey thing with threads in it. And I got some Gilbert GF-EFC-6 RG6 Compression Connectors that do not have the groove. Boo Hoo Hoo... The anvil appears to be indestructible and non-adjustable. It did a great job on both Snap-N-Seal and Gilbert connectors, so it appears that Klein has it set to work with most popular compression connectors. See pictures. Highly Recommended!

Compact Crimper vs Extended Reach
UPDATE: Just buy the compact crimper. Honestly the extended reach one is INFURIATING if you are using the WS weather seal connectors (with the rubber on the end of the connector, EX6WS/EX6XLWS). You have to keep dialing it out a bit or really struggle to get the connector in. And then it doesn't compress all the way. The compact crimper with XL connectors is perfect, every single time. Fully compressed. Absolutely 0 struggle to get the connector in. No adjusting it. I bought both the compact crimper and the extended reach crimper just to compare. I'll use the extended reach in the field and the compact at home. Here's what I learned and I hope it helps you. First, the cheap red handled crimper and the compact Klein are one hundred percent identical. HOWEVER, if you are using a compact crimper, you MUST use XL size connectors. I highly recommend Belden PPC EX6XLPLUS and EX6XLWSPLUS. Just make sure it has XL in the name. If you try to use non-XL connectors with the compact compression tool, it WILL NOT seal all the way. For non-XL connectors, that is where the extended reach crimper comes in. Close the handle, adjust the end so the tippy tip part is around 19-20mm, tighten it up, and you're ready to go. Of course, having to constantly re-adjust for XL connectors and not is a pain. So in some cases it would definitely be faster to just carry both tools, and use the compact for XL connectors. I'd like to try the mid-grade adjustable crimper as well just to see what's different about it.

Perfect results every time with three different F-Type connectors! Liked all connectors!
It gave me perfect results every time with three different F-Type connectors! It liked all three F-Type connectors that I threw at it! If interested, the following three T-Type connectors work flawlessly in this Klein Tools VDV212-008-SEN Compact Compression Crimper: 1) Klein Tools VDV812-623 Weatherproof F Compression Connectors, Satellite Provider Approval and Dual O-Rings to Seal Out Moisture [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008C7ZCI8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1], 2) IDEAL INDUSTRIES INC. 92-651 RTQ XR RG-6 Reg/Tri/Quad Compression F-Connector [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0052EARNO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1], and 3) BELDEN PPC EX6XLWSPLUS Weather Boot Aqua Tight EX series Weather Proof Anti-Corrosion Nickel-Plated Brass Construction Coaxial Cable Compression Connectors [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079C6W27Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1].

Easy to use, did the job
I had to terminate a bunch of coax to hook up a TV antenna in the attic to existing runs. I had never done it before and was able to use this successfully with no issues. Highly recommended tool.

Klien tools, rock!
I purchased my Klien compression crimper based on two things: one, the consumer reviews and second was that my cousin owns the same tool, which he's used when upgrading from his RG-59U cables to RG-6 "Quad-Shield" coax cables. Most importantly, I want to make sure that they worked on the Holland Electronics compression connectors I purchased online since there were no reviews about how those connectors worked with this particular compression tool. It's true that this compression tool does not have any adjustments for certain compression fittings as some connectors won't fit properly in it but I had much luck with the Holland Electronics & Ideal Connectors, which work really well with this. I pulled out all of the old RG-59 cables out & installed Quad-Shield throughout the house. If you don't want to spend a whole lot of money and need a compression tool to not only do the job but won'tbreak down on you after repeated use; look no further as the Klien VDV212 compression crimper is the best choice and worth every penny.

Great tool
I built a house last year and ran RG6 quad cable through the house for OTA TV. I finally got around to getting an antenna mounted in the garage attic and needed to terminate my coax cable with F style connectors. I didn't want to spend a bunch of money since this was the only project I would likely need these tools for, but I wanted something name brand that I hoped would be reliable. This Klein Tool compression crimper was perfect! I was going to get the Klein Tools VDV002-818 Coax Installation and Testing Kit , but it was out of stock from Amazon and I didn't want to purchase it from another seller. I ended up buying each of the pieces from the kit individually (except the tester tool) and saved about $3 compared to buying the kit. I didn't really feel like I needed the testing tool anyway so I was happy with that. I was able to get my project done very quickly and everything worked very well.
