Will it yellow over time?** A: I have used it for exactly the same thing, but only started using it two years ago. I cannot speak to its longevity. On white clay it may give a very slightly warmer tone. I have used both the matte and super matte, and I have been very happy. The super matte looks almost as if you have done nothing. Cannot speak to its water resistance as I have also only made sculptors. So far I have seen no discoloration. **Q: Does this spray create a waterproof coating?** A: It does not. It provides water resistance, but could show water stains if the water pools and stays on a specific spot. It is great for providing protection against humidity and makes the piece easy to clean with a damp cloth, and it gives the paint a finished look. **Q: is it safe to use on mugs that will be used for drinking out of?** A: No it is not. The only way to use appropriate glazes and refine the cup to make it safe for drinking. This dealer is just a finishing coat for figurines and wall pieces to protect the piece. Used to get a product called "No Shine" and can't find it any more. This is even better.
