There are more than one antique chic bedspreads. One is smaller it is usually the less expensive one. I wanted the largest one no need for bed skirt. Love this quilt! **Q: Is this really bedspread length - does it go to the floor? I do not want a quilt size that would need a dust ruffle cover at the bottom** A: On my king size bed, the bedspread does not reach the floor. There are a lot of variables that will determine how far it will drape over the sides. Among them are the height of your box springs and mattress (they vary greatly) and the height of the space under the box springs adds another variable. I suggest that you calculate your required measurements. Here's how: use a yard stick or tape and measure the distance from the top of your mattress to the floor (that would be the height or drop on the side). Take that measurement and double it (once for each side of the bed) then add the size of your bed e.g. 60" for a queen (54" for a double or full size). So, the width of the bed plus the drop on each side of the bed is the number of inches you need in width for the bedspread to touch the floor. You can make the same calculations for the length, but only use the drop for the foot since the spread will not drape to the floor at the head. In length add a little allowance for a tuck under the front of the pillows, if you like that look. Now you have calculated you required width and length. Compare those numbers with the published dimensions of the spread you are considering. A couple inches of clearance from the floor all around is not a bad thing. Published dimensions of this one are 95 X 105 inches for the king. Quick calculation of length says 105 - 78 = 27" for drop at the foot (minus whatever is used to tuck under the pillows). Width: 95 - 72 = 23" for the drop on both sides. Divide by 2 = 11Β½" drop on each side. Obviously the dimensions go the other way. If you turn the spread around using 105" width, it works better, giving a 16Β½" drop on each side, and 17" at the foot of the bed (minus allowance for pillows) So there you have it. Will it work for you? **Q: Are there curtains to match this bedspread** A: I don’t think so. I wanted heavy ones to keep out sun in the summer so I bought some with a matching color. I really like the bedspread though. **Q: Will the queen size fit in a standard top loader washing machine?** A: No. I have the Queen, and it is generously sized and too thick for a standard top loading washing machine.
