I have natural 4C hair and use this stuff once every 4 or 5 weeks. After washing and deep conditioning my hair, I mix this with apple cider vinegar (used water also but ACV works better for me) until it's a loose mix then apply it with a perm bush, put on a plastic cap and sit under the dryer for about an hour. I rinse with warm water until the water runs clear, put in some leave in conditioner and rock on! Since I have gray roots and dark brown everywhere else, it keeps my grays covered completely for about 3-4 weeks then starts to wash out with my weekly wash regimen and deep conditioning. I use a lot of products and have a vigorous wash day so I think that's why it only lasts 3-4 weeks on my hair but I can say that it doesn't leave my hair dry and like straw (which is what regular hair dye did) and leaves my hair soft with some sheen on it. I would definitely recommend.
