Eneloops fit many of my needs, and as mine were all 10-16 years old (though still worked), I finally decided to replace them. Since the manufacture date is now the same on all, I don’t have to think about grouping them by generation or date made. These Gen. 5 have 850 max. mAh (800 min.), hold a 70% charge for 10 years, and can be recharged 2100x. The only downside is they shouldn't be used in airtight devices in case they get over discharged and vent hydrogen gas. So that leaves out things that are IP rated as dust and/or water tight, like many flashlights. But since that's true of all NiMH, these are still 5 stars.
