As he is not pedigree and his parents were both mixed breed, this produced fascinating results. Discovering there was some chihuahua in my chunky, nearly 20kg staffyjack was an interesting discovery! The triathlon portion of the test was all pretty bang on, correctly describing his coat colour, type, snout type, and even that he would be likely to have short legs for his size, which he does. It was also reassuring to have the health portion all come back without any issues. I know it isn't proper medical testing, but still good to see. Would recommend this!

**Q: Is this accurate for overseas/european mixed breed dogs please?**
A: They are an American company and told me, when I complained, that their database outside America is not large enough to deal with very mixed dogs. My experience of them was poor to put it politely

**Q: Does this test for soft tissue mutation?**
A: U have to ask for it if you don’t tell them what you want they just do normally DNA tested

**Q: Can I test a 3 weeks old puppy without compromise the result?**

Just like a lot of people, my dog is truly a member of my family. As he is not pedigree and his parents were both mixed breed, this produced fascinating results. Discovering there was some chihuahua in my chunky, nearly 20kg staffyjack was an interesting discovery! Great test, showed the breeds we knew about but didn't believe along with a few others. Also gave accurate colouring and coat description despite not uploading a photo. Finally, the medical tests showed a couple of problems - one that won't affect him but could be passed on, and another that may become a problem, good to know. The only downside is the slight amount of spam for similar products included in the test that the company sends whilst waiting for your test results - but you can always unsubscribe. Overall, comprehensive and worthwhile.

Comprehensive results turned round quite quickly. Swabbing our dogs mouth was easy and just the same as doing ours previously for a Covid test so no drama there. Our new dog is a rescue from Russia & not much was known about her breed makeup so after some research we went with this one. It’s not cheap but the results for us were worth the investment.
