Fantastic tool, makes taking old shaft oil seals out easy!
Perfect tool for removing front crankshaft oil seal during my timing belt service. I was able to get the camshaft seals with hose picks and a great deal of difficulty, but failed to get the crankshaft seal out. This tool took care of the crankshaft seal in 20 seconds, and would have made removing the cam seals so easily. If you work on cars you MUST purchase this tool. Lisle makes quality unique tools that solve auto-repair specific problems.

Where have been all my life!
Can't believe I haven't used a tool like this in all my life. No damage to my camshafts by trying the wood screw and pull trick. Easy to use and the built-in pry bar works great for crankshaft and cam seals.

Great tool and time saver
I have used many things to pull seals when they are still around the shaft, some tools were things I made, some tools I bought, and sometimes just a course threaded screw. But this is a great addition to the toolbox. If you are pulling a cam/crank seal on an import or some other type of small seal when the shaft is still installed in the part this tool works great. I have used it probably two dozen times since I bought it and am very pleased. I have not noticed any damage to the shafts an any occasion and the setup time was minimal. I could not imagine using this tool to pull a wheel seal or axle seal. For larger seals or seals where the shaft is not sticking through the middle of the seal there are better tools to use. If you are pulling a large seals chances are there is more room between the seal lip and the shaft and you can use something more substantial that this. My only complaint with this tool is that it comes with and extra blade but there is no place to put it. I just tied it to the shaft up near the handle with a piece of wire so I can find it if I ever break the original one. Bottom line, if someone stole this tool from me tomorrow I would but it again. Is this a tool that you have to have? No, you can get by using other methods to pull these types of seals. But it sure makes thing a lot easier and make the job go a little quicker.

Great tool but handle bent when used
I don't know how I managed so long without this tool. I used to use picks and patience to carefully remove crankshaft and camshaft seals when replacing them on Honda's and Toyotas during timing belt service. This tool is easy to use and gets the job done so fast now. I did have a slight problem with mine the second time I used it....the handle bent. I was removing the camshaft seal on a 97 Corolla 1.8 and noticed the handle became bent after using it at this location. Not sure what caused it to bend as I did not apply very much pressure to the handle and the seal easily popped out. I'm still able to use it with the bent handle. Maybe mine just had some poorer grade steel used for the handle? Still, I recommend this tool to anyone what wants to remove seals in a timely manner without causing damage to the shaft surface.

Broke on first use
Lisle is supposed to be a reputable tool brand but this tool failed on first use. The hook that grabs the edge of the seal/bearing broke off. There is a spare one but I haven't even tried it because now I need to fish out the broken piece from the transfer case.

Had to modify the hook, but it worked well.
I recently used this seal puller to remove the CrankShaft seal from my chainsaw. I learned about it from a YouTube video, & that guy clearly stated that he had to File Down the size of the hook, to make it work. I had to do the same thing, but it worked very well. Fortunately, Lisle did provide a 2nd Hook in the package, so the puller can be used for another size seal in the future. I am reasonably happy with this puller.

Facil y sencilla de usar
Fácil y sencilla de usar aunque si no se puede apoyar para hacer palanca se complica su uso. Se puede usar un taco de madera para apoyarla.

Great little tool!
Simple but amazing tool. More expensive in the UK than USA, but still worth the money. Works as easy as it claims.
