Sometimes they jump the fence into our side-yard. I labelled their names on channels 1 and 2 on the control unit , and set the alert distance to 32 foot away. When the cat goes into the side-yard, the control unit alerts on their name and I'm able to track them down to where they're located in the wood pile or under our car (you can beep their pendant to pinpoint it). Gave it five stars because you don't need a contract like other units and it has different alert distances that can be set to let you know when they've strayed too far. This is our second set of these trackers, the first set lasted around five years but finally died after getting dunked in the water bowl when the cats got a drink. BUT...I found they make silicone protective covers for these! The covers have two slots that you can slide through a collar so they fit snug and don't hang down like a necklace. Trackers work great for us, happy. The pendant specs: 1.5" at the widest part, 2.5" long, 3/8" thick. Including the battery, pendant weighs the same as five pennies (U.S money). With optional protective silicone covers, the pendants fit sideways on the collar instead of hanging like a necklace. Review: the 4 tag model as advertised. - I was wrong.
