If its coming out the exhaust and the disc is not rotating when you press the trigger, I assume there is a fault and the air is bypassing the turbine/fan. You could try rotating the disc by hand to see that its not stuck and try turning the knob that sets the speed. Sounds like you might have a defective unit. I had a nail gun where the air came out of the trigger mechanism, the company replaced the nail gun. **Q: I cannot change the pads over. I've pushed the tool into the side hole but the pad keeps spinning. Anyone got any advice before I return it?** A: Lock the pad off from the side hole then undo the pad **Q: Does it have a case** A: No there is no case. **Q: how noisy is it? is it as noisy as the cut-off tool? thx** A: Its noisy but I can't quantify that. One thing to be aware of is that it spits oil out of the exhaust and onto the surface you are sanding. OK its obvious to reduce the lubrication but its a trade off.
