Gingher scissors - always great!
As always, very sharp, small and light weight. Great for making tiny clips, as needed. Gingher scissors are comfortable and easy to use. They are pricey, but they do last for a long time.

Excellent little scissors!
Okay first thing I need to mention is that there are a couple errors in the description for this item. I suspected these were errors before purchasing the scissors, and was glad to see I was right. There is nothing gold plated on the handle of the scissors - they look just like the picture (shiny silver). Also, the metal tin they come in is silver, not gold as mentioned in the description. Since I do not like gold colored plating, I was happy with this description mistake. My mom had a pair of Ginghers growing up and when I recently got into sewing I looked around to see if technology had evolved since then. I found that Gingher scissors are still number one and so I purchased a pair of Gingher G-7 7-Inch Knife-Edge Dressmaker's Shears and these 4" classic embroidery scissors. When I received my embroidery shears they were well packaged in a tiny tin. My first thought was "oh no, these are so small they won't really be that useful!" However, I was seriously wrong. While the scissors are fairly small (the 4" refers to the length of the entire scissors, not just the blade), they are very sharp and have a fine tip which can even rip out threads to get things started for the seam ripper. They will easily cut through cord for piping and, while I wouldn't want to cut out an entire project with them, they can handle trimming several layers of fabric around an edge or corner. They have a precision that my dressmaker shears lack. One of the best features for me is that (assuming you use your right hand) they are ergonomically correct no matter which side you happen to pick them up from. The leather sheath is very useful and well crafted. You can feel the quality when you are holding the scissors, and can rest assured because Gingher backs up their products for life. In all, I use these scissors way more than I envisioned I would and am very pleased with the purchase. There is something about sewing with quality tools which makes the experience more enjoyable!

These are sharp, and very lightweight.
I recommend anything Gingher makes, have used their products for years, never disappointed, both sharp and really nice. I have their button hole scissors, and 3 or 4 different sizes for sewing . My family makes fun of me, because my first pair of gingher scissors came in a brown box, 35 years ago, and I have taped that box, and still have it.

High quality, very sharp, accurrate, and comfortable
Impressed with the quality of these. Sharp and worth the money. Lifetime warranty with US contact is a plus. Comfortable fit for my fingers. Great controlled fine close cutting. I got the 8" and the 4". After 56 years of sewing, I finally have excellent shears!

SHARP, AMBIDEXTROUS & REASONABLE
EXCELLENT AWESOME THE BEST EVER!!! I've been making Leather Sunflowers of various sizes for over 6 years now. I've used Carpet Scissors, Seamstress Scissors, Regular Household Scissors, and some Tiny No Name Scissors over these years. I "accomplished" my objective, but my fingers would ache from the heavy scissors and it was impossible to get professional cuts... THEN... I FOUND GINGHER!!! My world change the moment I made my first cut. SNIP, the beautiful, quiet, secure sound of the tips closing neatly and severing the leather, in a most satisfying way! I've been looking for YEARS! DEFINITELY YOU WILL LOVE THESE, if you do small intricate work.

Sharp, precise scissors for embroidery and sewing.
Buy Fiskars/Gingher scissors! I have sewn for years and used these embroidery scissors for decades. I lost mine and these are a replacement. They are as good as my original pair. I use them to trim threads on my weaving and embroidery. Lovely size to carry along in a travel sewing kit. The only pair I own and worth the price.

Excellent scissors with sheath.
Well made and very sharp. Sensible too with the leather sheath to protect the points and you! It would be a good idea if all scissors came with a protective sheath. The only down side is that I live in the UK and these scissors had to come from the US; I couldn't find a decent pair with a sheath in the UK!! Anyway, if you don't mind waiting a bit longer to receive them, I would definitely recommend them.

Perfect for counted cross stitch or canvas work
They are small and very sharp. Just for what you need with canvas work or counted cross stitch. The blades allow you to cut very close to the material and exactly what you want to cut. This is the scissors that I use most of the time with my fine crafting.
