## Questions & Answers

**Q: does this board have a "flyback diode" or a "back emf diode" which goes from pin 2 to pin 3  (across load , between source and drain on the mosfer?**
A: It doesn't look like it. It looks like the board only has the mosfet, 2 resistors and an LED to indicate when it's on.

**Q: This is voltage control only and no current control, correct?**
A: Correct

**Q: Data sheet for irf520 shows vds max 100v. here it mentioned 24v, can i use this module load for 48v @ 1amp**
A: Hi. Have not tried this but there are issues I am aware of. When you turn this thing off, the current can induce a voltage in the gate and blow this up. If you are not cool with this electronics, or if you cannot afford to waste a IRF or two, don't try it out. With the right kind of protection and all, the transistor can probably run very close to the limits, but if you misread, or misunderstand, the limits can bite you hard. Power electronics is very cool stuff, but not for the faint of heart. Seriously, hearing your transistor pop so hard it blasts a neat little hole in the top of the transistor pack has got to suck.

**Q: Can this be used with ac power ? 24v ac ?**
A: Must not be used for AC.
