I ordered this machine to use with the detaching attachment. I was really impressed by it. Lots of power, easy enough to use, and I was able to thatch 9,000 square feet of lawn 2 directions in a day (including cleanup). Definitely a workout, and not recommended for anyone without a little muscle or used to this kind of ground engaging equipment. I’ve used it to turn my mulch beds too. It works really for that. It’s not ideal for tilling virgin ground or anything covered it grass, but it will get the job done. My only complaint, after using this machine for a few days, I stored it in my shed for a few weeks. When I went to start it the next time, the engine cylinder had filled with oil and locked up. I had to remove the spark plug, drain the oil, refill the oil, and then I could start it. Since then I store the machine standing up to avoid this. Not sure if this is by design, or a sign of premature wear.
