About twice the weight. They also seemed to improve sustain and projection when unplugged. They are compensated so intonation can be near perfect if not spot on. They are much taller than my old saddles so I need a thin neck shim from stew Mac because that was a bit of a problem before the saddle swap, not the saddles fault. Did not loose that "squak" sound as others have reported (IMO been playing 52 years). Still going to purchase brass ones with grooves (see Allparts products). I think that is the answer unless you want to go with the six individual saddles and bridge. I like my strings set low to the neck just before they start to buzz. Also tried filing grooves in the original brass saddles. Did not work well as I am not a guitar repair pro. But go for it.
