Be careful cutting thin 14 gauge materials like purlins as it’s easy to break teeth off if the material comes loose. Review: Great blade - This is a real workhorse. I used it to cut 1.5 x 3 x 1/8 wall steel tubing for over 300 cuts and only lost 3 teeth. Blade still cuts well. I found that even with teeth chipped or missing it cuts just like new. The trick is to let the blade do the work and not force it. I ordered two of these and after about 400 cuts changed to the other new one. It is not recommended but I used the old blade to cut some heavy aluminum pieces and it worked just fine. Not quite a perfect edge but my application does not require that anyway. I still am using it to cut aluminum and even did a few steel cuts so I did not have to change blades and other than a somewhat rough finish cut just fine. I have used most other blades and the only one that performed like this was the Dewalt which costs a lot more. Just let the saw do the work and it will last a long time. I am looking into getting the teeth replaced and the blade sharpened, but at the price of a new one is hardly worth the hassle of getting it repaired. Great blade.
