I have a 55 gallon saltwater tank and the instructions for this item were spot on. Works as advertised. I used the "B" setup with both sensors in my tank and the hose from my pump and reservoir slightly above the fish tank. I have a sensor height differential of about 3-1/2" and when the sensor #2 detected low level the pump started and when water reached float top sensor #1 the pump shut off immediately. Total of about 10 gallons. I have a 35 gallon reservoir that I bought here on Amazon and a transfer pump 120 volt, 2.0 amp, 350 gallons/hr. This setup topped off the tank in about 3 minutes.Remember guys, when you set up the sensors---the shut off will not occur until the float reaches the top--similar to the float in your toilet. So set your floats with room for play.Part 2 of review. Just tested system as water level was down approx 1. Lifted float/sensor #2 until it was clear of water. Pump started OK and pumped until water level reached top of float/sensor #1---instant cut off. I am ready for vacation with peace of mind.Part 3---went on vacation to Reno, NV in April 2016 and returned 9 days later to find tank in perfect condition. My 25 gallon storage tank was down approximately 10 gallons so the system ran twice with no problems. It is now the middle of June 2016 and still no problems--no problems with salt on the sensors as others have complained about--no problems with stuck sensors---no problems period! I read on forums, read reviews, spoke to hobbyists, and watched videos. Since it is such an integral part of a reef tank, I had to be sure I was getting something reliable and accurate. I have found both of these with this product.IT has an adjustable pump timer, which is great for different sized tanks.It has a safety float so your pump wont run dry.It has an easy to read display.It runs on simple float valves.I keep it in my sump, and my tank has really stabilized since using this product. It was annoying and it did not top off my tank. I went to the web sight for the product and found out that it has a factory setting of only around 3 minutes. I had to unscrew the device and adjust the timer inside with a screw driver to 14 minutes to get the thing to work like it was suppose too.Does not take long to do and it now works like it should and it works well. The thing I do not understand is why this instruction was not included in the instruction manual that it came with.
